Monday Motivation
Something to ponder: Consider one positive word or quality you want to embody this week—like "patience" or "joy." Write it on a sticky note to keep at your desk or in a personal space at home if you're not in the classroom yet. What's your word 👇? Ps, take a moment to look around the community. It's a neat platform for learning and sharing. - Classroom has a 7-day starter kit for you - Community tab has various discussion threads with posts waiting Contribute as you can 👐

“Release” let the tension melt from my body. Relax my shoulders and release the tension in my jaw. release and relax!
Tiny Tweak Tuesday
🐞 Tiny Tweak Tuesday is about making a small pivot by including something new in your day. Learn one new stretch. Try a simple *spinal twist to release tension in your lower back (see short video below 👇). Try this while seated at home or on a walk, or while at your desk. 🍎 One tiny tweak builds over time to make a big impact! What other tiny tweak can you make? The seated twist is merely 1 example, but a good one! The seated twist also be done with the learners in your care (enhances awareness, posture, alertness). A tiny tweak does a couple things, such as brings awareness to the present and see opportunities for improvement/new habits and fosters neural plasticity through asking the brain to change, adapt and construct new pathways. *Your safety is in your hands. If you have back issues, then consult your health practitioner before doing this.Try a tiny tweak that's better suited to your situation, such as simply reaching arms out front and up.

My tiny tweak is doing some stretches wherever I am. I don’t need the whole set up, just my body and open space!
Wednesday Wins
Hi, teachers! From time to time we can feel down and disinterested in the day-to-day. It's normal, we're human! Noticing wins, past successes, can help to remind us of why we do what we do and lift our spirits. Take a moment to write down a win you've had with your teaching practice in the past. For example, recall a student's breakthrough and remember the important impact you're making. Share yours, below 🤩

My child told me I’m a good teacher and she enjoys what we do 😂 this is a huge win for us. It took lots of patience and working with her slowly to get to this point. I listened when she felt overwhelmed and took a step back when needed. She came back with confidence and a sense that she can do hard things. It’s amazing what space can do for everyone involved.
Visionary Thursday
What vision do you have for your class or school in this new year? Ponder this question: What is the single most important feeling I want my students to have when they walk in the door on the first day, week, month? If school is in session, For Students: What is one thing that makes our classroom feel like a safe and welcoming space? Gentle Reminders: 👐 Check out the Classroom Tab - A 7-Day Starter & Classes await 🫁 See how using specific 'natural' strategies activate specific results (focus, motivation, mood) It's Fascinating 🤩 💛 Laura
