Hello! Mom of three ages 9, 5, and 2. My middle was diagnosed with ASD before she turned 4, so about 1.5 years now. At about 3.5 years we realized she was a gestalt language processor. After discovering this, we educated ourselves and switched up how we helped her learn speech and her progress has been amazing!! She loves any thing involving gross motor skills...climbing, jumping, swinging. She also enjoys singing, dancing, playing at her sensory table, crafts and reading books. She does not like vegetables .😆 She sometimes has a hard time transitioning from a preferred activity and can sometimes get emotional over inconveniences. She loves to read with us, bake or help cook and do crafts with her sister. She could probably play outside, swim or paint all day. We would love education so we can help her learn self regulation especially in tricky moments and improve social interaction with others.
