🐦‍⬛ Visible Friday #17: Socials Masterclass Snippet
I've been sitting here this week beaming like a proud mama hen. So many of you have started putting your face and voice out there in new ways, on camera, in your own words, and I just want to say I see it. It's not a small thing. So this week I'm gifting you a snippet from the Social Reels Masterclass. Eight minutes, deep dive, all about Your Profile, Your Platforms, Your Sound. Watch for free below and you can find the full course in the Classroom tab. I'm also dreaming into something bigger. A Vizzy D Video series where I challenge us all with different prompts and questions to speak to camera and share it in here first, encouraging each other across that vulnerable threshold together. Still shaping what this looks like, but I wanted to say it out loud before it's fully formed, because that's kind of the whole point isn't it... Would this be something you'd want to be part of? Curious what a prompt might look like for you, something silly, something serious, something that scares you a bit to say out loud. What is stopping you from putting your face and voice out there? What are the blocks? How can we help each other? Only love, Amy 🐦‍⬛

I put out my first Instagram post yesterday. There's only me and a few sheep following me to see it, but after being so scared, I did it and now I want to go again but have to wait a few days! 😭. I'd never have done it without a prompt to be just me, so 5 photos of me being me describing me.
Introducing: The Vizzy D Resource Library 📚
I've been wanting to build this for a while, and it's finally here. The *Vizzy D Resource Library* is a shared space of books, podcasts, documentaries, readings, newsletters and accounts that have shaped how we think about death, grief and ceremony, built by this community, for this community. You can find it in the Classroom tab. It's not a list I've put together alone. It's meant to grow with whatever's actually shaping your practice right now, the book that changed how you show up with a family, the podcast episode you've sent to three colleagues, the poem you keep coming back to for readings. Inside you'll find a growing library of: 📖 Books 🎧 Podcasts 🎥 Documentaries & Films 🕊️ Poems & Readings ✍️ Newsletters & Substacks 🌐 Organisations & Websites 🎓 Courses & trainings 🎵 Playlists Comment below with all your suggestions! Just include what it is, who it's by, and one honest line on why it stuck with you. We're not after exhaustive lists here, we're after the things that actually changed how you think or work. This is one of those small, ongoing things I hope becomes genuinely useful over time. Curious to see what this community pulls together... Only love, Amy 🐦‍⬛

Do we add to it or do we give you suggestions and then you add them? I think this is such a fabulous idea, Amy. There's a website in the UK called the White Balloon which may help people too. It's got lots of ideas.
🌻 Introduce Yourself...
It's so wonderful to see you all start to arrive - I feel like the excited/nervous party host who's spent way too long decorating and tidying... now it's time to exhale and receive the joy of you each arriving... :) Feel free to share a quick intro in the comments below... perhaps: where you're based, what you do & one main struggle you have with promoting your work/services... GO! x

@Katy Vigurs Hey! Is there any chance we could have a chat at some point? I run stalls for people to start having the chats they need with family before it's too late, you guys may be a fab place for me to signpost to if you're willing to give me some leaflets or information. I'm based in the West Midlands. Kay 😊. My email is [email protected].
Start Here: Watch Welcome Video & Tour
If you work in death care - as a funeral celebrant, death doula, funeral director, interfaith minister or end of life carer - and you want to build your presence so the families who need you can actually find you, you're in exactly the right place. The community is free to join. With free & paid classes added all the time. And this is very much a living, growing thing - built for a global community of death workers doing things differently. Start by watching the welcome video here. Then have a look around, introduce yourself in the community feed, and let me know what you most want to learn... Welcome to The Visible Death Worker 👋 Really glad you're here. 🖤

Thank you for letting me join. It's a pleasure to find a like-minded soul that's already doing what I want to do. What you're doing is special and it's just brought a tear to my eye because I no longer feel like I'm taking on the establishment- I have friends. ❤️❤️ . Looking forward to looking around.
