💡 5 Simple UGC Tips That Can Help You Get Started
Hey everyone! If you’re new to UGC or feeling a little stuck, here are a few things that helped me stay focused: *Don’t wait for perfection your portfolio will improve as you create more. *Create content for practice you don’t need to wait for a brand to start building your skills. *Start pitching consistently one pitch may not get a response, but consistency gives you more opportunities. *Make your pitches personal brands can tell when you’ve genuinely looked at their products instead of sending the same message to everyone. *Learn from every “no” don’t take rejection personally. Use it to improve your approach and keep going. Most importantly, don’t compare your Day 1 to someone else’s Day 100. Everyone starts somewhere. What’s one part of UGC you’re struggling with right now creating content, building your portfolio, pitching brands, or getting your first deal? 👇 Drop it in the comments or message me on Telegram: @axionixco. Maybe someone here has a tip that can help you!

@Sara J.Rivera Thank you so much! I completely agree sometimes we have so much information that it actually becomes harder to know what to focus on. For me, I think the biggest part is helping people move from learning and preparing to actually taking action and landing those opportunities. I’m curious though, where are you personally at with UGC right now? Are you already pitching brands, or are you still working on your portfolio and getting ready to start?

@Sara J.Rivera I completely agree! Sometimes it’s easy to spend so much time learning and preparing that we forget to actually put things into action. I’ve been working on staying consistent by keeping things simple and having a routine that keeps me moving forward. If you don’t mind, I can share with you what’s been working for me and what has helped me stay more consistent with reaching out and taking action. Hopefully it can give you a few ideas that you can apply to your own UGC journey too.
First gifted collab
I think I've landed my first ever gifted collab (not paid yet). I was planning to do 1 video, just for the portfolio building. But they have requested 2. I'm wondering should I say 1 scripted and 1 aesthetic just to keep it light as they would like to send 2 products. They also asked for my paid rate for future collabs. It's exciting but nervewracking as for gifted I didn't want to over-do it. Also, for gifted collaborations, if they want to put ad spend behind a video - is this still the percentage of the base rate, even though for gifted theres no base rate?

@Amber Benjamin I completely understand you! Your perfectionism is probably making you feel like everything needs to be perfect before you start pitching, but honestly, you’re more ready than you think. You already have 9 videos, and someone even told you that you don’t look like a beginner. You don’t have to choose between improving your portfolio and pitching you can do both at the same time. Keep improving while getting real pitching experience. That’s how your confidence will grow! What do you think would help you feel confident enough to send your first 5 pitches?

@Amber Benjamin Honestly, that’s amazing 13 videos and your first gifted collab already! And the fact that she loved your work is a really good sign that you’re ready to start pitching more confidently. I’d be happy to guide you with the pitching side and share what’s been working for me. You don’t want your emails to sound overly corporate or copy-pasted either they should feel personal, natural, and actually show the brand why you’d be a good fit. If you want, I can share how I approach my pitches and we can look at what you’re currently sending to see what we can improve.

@Elisha Phelps I completely understand why you’re frustrated. But don’t let the lack of support stop you from moving forward you’re already making progress by getting through Lesson 2. Keep going and don’t give up! What part of Lesson 2 are you stuck on? Maybe someone here can help while you wait for support.
🎉 Landed a New UGC Gig!
I just landed another UGC gig, and it reminded me of something... The hardest part isn't usually creating content it's taking that first step and putting yourself out there. Every opportunity I've gotten started with reaching out, improving my portfolio, staying consistent, and not giving up after hearing "no." If you're still waiting for your first gig, don't compare your beginning to someone else's middle. Every creator starts somewhere. I'm curious... What's the biggest thing holding you back from landing your first (or next) UGC gig? Is it: • Not knowing where to find brands? • Feeling like your portfolio isn't good enough? • Fear of rejection? • Not knowing what to charge? • Something else? Drop it in the comments. Let's help each other out and share what's worked. You never know—someone's advice might be exactly what another creator needs today.
