The Hidden Problem in ā€œJust Tell Me What to Doā€
Most cottage bakery couples don’t have a motivation problem. They have a clarity problem. ā€œJust tell me what to do.ā€ Sounds helpful… but it usually creates more tension, not less. Because now one person becomes: -The manager -The decision-maker -The one carrying the mental load And the other becomes reactive. That imbalance is where frustration starts. Not because anyone is doing something wrong… …but because the structure is missing. Question for you: In your bakery right now—who is the default decision-maker? Drop ā€œMEā€ or ā€œTHEMā€ below

Welcome to Bake Together
I’m really glad you’re here. This community exists for cottage bakers (and the partners who support them) who want less chaos behind the scenes and more clarity in everyday decisions. If you’re baking great products but feeling stretched by pricing, scheduling, communication, or mental load, you’re in the right place. Over the next few weeks, I’ll be sharing: - Backend systems that actually work for home bakeries - Ways to protect the baker from burnout - Simple language couples can use to run the business together - Real examples from cottage bakery life The Bake Together course will be opening soon, and this community is where we’ll talk through the ideas, answer questions, and support each other as things get implemented. For now, I’d love to get to know you. Introduce yourself below Tell us: - What you bake - Whether you’re running solo or with a partner - One thing on the business side that feels heavy right now You don’t need to have it all figured out to be here. This is where clarity starts.

Hi everyone. I bake cakes and cookies that use no artificial flavors and no food dyes. I just moved to a new state and finding my customers has honestly been the hardest thing so far. I am not familiar with the area, and I am trying to find where my cakes would sell best but what worked somewhere else is not necessarily working here.
Is Your Menu Too Big?
Hard truth: The bigger your menu…The smaller your profit margin usually is. More flavors = More ingredients More prep More waste More mental load What’s the total number of items on your menu right now? Drop the number below. (Be honest — seasonal counts too ) Next week I’m sharing why simplifying your menu can increase profit instantly.

I have 4 cake flavors and 2 cookies. I don't offer everything at once. I alternate weekly, but I feel like this keeps me from offering seasonal flavors.
What If You Only Needed 5 Core Items?
Imagine this: Instead of 18 menu items… You had 5 core bestsellers. Higher margins Faster production Less stress More predictable income That’s what we’re building inside the course Bake Together. I’m going to walk you through: - Underpricing - True cost per dozen - Menu simplification - Structuring your offers for profit Stay tuned and drop a "BAKE" in the comments below if you're interested in the course. Let’s build bakeries that actually pay you back.
