Weight loss plateau
So I’ve lost 20lbs since mid January.. but I’m on a plateau now for the past month! What to do…. I probably need more sleep. I barely have any time to myself and sometimes do have a lot of stress as well😵‍💫 I prioritize protein and veggies so i know im good there!

@Holly Harding thank you! That all makes sense. Lately my appetite has been either very low, or when I lift weights my appetite is a lot stronger! I need to focus on more sleep for sure

Household Meal Conflicts
Do you and your spouse or family members have differing tastes in food and it causes problems creating meals? For example, you enjoy fish and vegetables primarily but your husbands is more of a meal and potato’s guy? Or are you already on a healthy path eating more protein and fiber but your kids are on the primarily carb train. Tell me your delimas!

All three members of my family - husband and two boys can eat whatever they want and stay slim- but for me it’s a complete opposite so I try to cook protein for everyone and veggies, but then just give them the heavier carbs and only have a bite or two (or nothing) of the carbs. It’s definitely a big challenge and sometimes hard to resist when it’s right in my face since I’m the one cooking!! 🧑‍🍳

Whenever I eat after 6 PM, it makes me feel bloated and too heavy. So I noticed that when I stop eating by 5 or 6 PM and have a lighter dinner I feel so much better, lighter and less inflamed. And also getting enough Sleep is super important of course!

What does “being fit” mean to you now versus 10 years ago?
I know 10 years ago, for me, I just wanted to be lean, like see my ribs lean. Now, I want to be strong and lean. How has time changed your perception of your own fitness? @Margie Brennan @Katie Jagocki @Becky Brett @Michelle Parke @Val Zbezinski @Ariel Kestler @Corey Peacock @Sara Colon @Sarah Wambles @Abigail Cola

10 years ago I was still in survival mode with my twins whom were only one and a half years old at the time. I was doing allll the detox cleanses and juicing, essentially starving myself and not getting enough protein. My body did not like this and yes I lost the weight, but it came back with a vengeance with a side of newly diagnosed hypothyroidism.😞 So now I really prioritize protein! And fiber too of course. And I lift weights more now and am not as obsessed with cardio. I want to make sure my body builds muscle and stays healthy.
