Hi. I am Kathy from South Carolina. My current interest is baking and bread making (haven’t been too successful with my sourdough though). I completed my first quilt this year (for 1st great grand) and I like to crochet. I have dabbled in lots of different crafts over the years. Arthritic hands limit me some now.

@Marlo DeVouge I made one between crib and twin sized. It was very basic diagonal pattern (not perfect by any means). I discovered my basic sewing machine doesn’t have the power to quilt so thankfully a quilter friend allowed me to come to her house to quilt it. Thus that will most likely be my only quilt. I can’t justify a good quilting machine with what little sewing I would do. I loved the piecing but not the quilting (just did in the ditch). Probably because I couldn’t do it at home as much as anything else. I would be willing to try another small quilt but hate to always have to borrow the use of a machine.

@Marlo DeVouge Use an insulated mug rather than a standard mug. It will stay hot and enjoyable when you take those crafting breaks. That has been my go-to for the last couple of years.
