Been Absent
I have Raynaud in my index and middle fingers only. Just recently my right thumb is starting to show the same signs as the two fingers mentioned above. The nail acts up on the thumb when i put white stuff into my body and makes it ache and hurt like the nail wants to escape from the finger. Yesterday they announced after church that there was going to be "I. C." available in cultural hall for everyone. I stuck my head in doorway only to see if my hubby was there - he was. But didn't want to see the stuff they were giving out. Then i walked down hallway and said out loud NO Sugar for me, some were eating this stuff in hallway, but all I could think about was my thumb. Then someone behind me said - What did she say? Then someone told her and she yelled and gave me the thumbs up and she was not participation either. I was surprised to find someone else that is quitting too. So this is my story and i am sticking to it.

I have autoimmune diseases as well, and I joined for health reasons. Sugar is inflammatory. Good luck to you!
gluten free/acid reflux?
Hi Everyone! It is great to be part of a like-minded group! Thank you for this opportunity! I've been sugar and gluten free for approximately a month now. I was already plant based for a year, but not gluten free, so it was not too difficult. I was putting a small amount of maple syrup in some pecan/walnut cookies that I make, but no longer eat them because of the maple syrup. Since I began the gluten free journey, I have been feeling acid reflux attack my throat. I was told in the past that I have acid reflux, but hadn't felt it. Now it's quite strong, quite often - a few times a day. Do you have any suggestions to stop it from occurring? Thank you

I have been gluten free and dairy free for years- with acid reflux. But my acid reflux reduced once I ate low histamine foods and started taking the enzyme DAO- unfortunately tons of healthy foods like avacados, spinach, tomatoes, citrus are high histamine. Maybe this is something to investigate.
Day 3
Got up early and feel great. Excited to eat nutritiously today. I made sure I have plans every day after dinner. Either walking, or non food shopping, or going to church. After dinner is when I struggle so this has been a great help to me. Reminding myself to take it one day at a time.

Off to a great start!
Doing the happy dance🎶
Hi, looking forward to being sugar free. Have done it before and have been struggling since Covid and can’t seem to go for more than a day or two without sugar. So happy to have support and to be a support.
