@Lisa Bledsoe I totally get that-I actually have heard that from a few directors recently as well. Sometimes it can be as simple as prioritizing the biggest needs of the week on Monday morning with an easy checklist. And I like to make two lists-"must do" and "may do" (I "may do" that list once the must do list is done). Do you find it difficult to have the "needs improvement" conversations because you want to tread lightly with your teachers and their feelings or because those are typically harder/more time consuming evaluations to do?

@Lisa Bledsoe I’ve been in a very similar situation, and you are absolutely right to prioritize the safety and well-being of the classroom as a whole. One thing that helped us was putting very clear boundaries in place: teachers stopped engaging with the parent in front of children and instead calmly redirected all concerns to administration. We also created a written communication and behavior plan that outlined expectations for both the child and the parent, and we documented every incident. It didn’t solve everything overnight, but it gave us a consistent structure to lean on and helped reinforce that the classroom is not a place for negotiation. You’re not alone—this is incredibly tough, and you’re doing a great job! @Brenda Chilstrom I love the idea of giving the teachers a script of sorts to help in these scenarios!
