Will be emotionally blackmailing my GP tomorrow...
After a lot of research on the subject I've decided to ask my GP to prescribe Leucovorin for William. Not holding my breath as in the UK it would be an off-label prescription. Normally this is used for cancer patients to help them deal with the side effects, but it's also been used in autistic kids who have abnormal folate metabolism - the DNA methylation test proves William has just that. I sent him all the lab tests we have had done up to this point as well as some research papers to support my hypothesis on why I think it will help our boy. I've also just started using a vagus nerve stimulation therapy and just about to buy red light therapy machine so keep your eye out on the updates on how these are going! https://nypost.com/2025/03/19/health/kids-with-autism-show-dramatic-improvement-with-cheap-drug/

@Natalia Kremer I'm ordering this today. THANK YOU! How long has your boy been on it now?

@Natalia Kremer if I remember correctly when I looked at their stuff they used unmethelated B vitamin in their recipe so I didn't get it for William because of his issues with methylation. I now ordered one pack of 15mg and one pack of 25mg to try. Hoping it will help William too.
The list of the latest tests and why they might be relevant to your child
Hi Guys, So this is the breakdown of the tests we're doing with William and Willow tomorrow with short description why we're doing them and what these tests can tell you. 1. HLA typing - genetic predisposition for CIRS and immune response to the environment 2. Actinos skin swab testing for pathogenic Actinobacteria 3. MARCoNS nasal swab - very good indicator for CIRS (Chronic Inflammatory Response Syndrome) 4. Dietary peptide testing/Kryptopyrrole - indicates the micronutrient deficiencies (both zinc and B vitamin deficiencies drive autistic like symptoms) 5. Actinos and Endotoxin dust swiffer testing - home mould test including wider range of pathogenic bacteria and endotoxins.

What ยฃ2100 of tests for two kids look like...
I've just been preparing for doing the next stage of the health testing for both William and Willow. There are 7 test kits here, some of them are being shipped together so I had the opportunity to let loose my organisation skills. I'll be going live to go through what all of these tests are as we're doing them as part of the work with functional medicine doctor and the mould in our home, but some of them could be relevant to kids with other chronic conditions we see a lot of.

My first ever live on this group about the latest recommendations from the States about autism and about my experience trying to get Leucovorin for our William.

@Jodie Falcon thank you. One of the people on my Facebook was blaming patriarchy for Trump looking into autism and it was just too much... ๐Ÿ˜Š I'm over the moon they're looking at it.

For me right now avoiding the doctors means my blood pressure doesn't go up... every time I speak to them, they are so behind the curve of medicine I'm left speechless after... and not in a good way! ๐Ÿ˜…
