Trump Derangment Syndrome just hit the autism debate 🤯
My first ever live on this group about the latest recommendations from the States about autism and about my experience trying to get Leucovorin for our William.

@Jodie Falcon thank you. One of the people on my Facebook was blaming patriarchy for Trump looking into autism and it was just too much... 😊 I'm over the moon they're looking at it.

For me right now avoiding the doctors means my blood pressure doesn't go up... every time I speak to them, they are so behind the curve of medicine I'm left speechless after... and not in a good way! 😅
United States have just announced breakthrough in autism!
The latest advice that I'm currently listening to are no Tylenol or Paracetamol during pregnancy, or as little as humanly possible. Another amazing thing is States-wide recommendation to supply autistic children with Leucovorin which is now recognised to help with the symptoms. This is exactly the off-label drug I've asked for last Friday and was told NO, so I ordered this medication online - waiting for it to be delivered. They also have stipulated to avoid giving children Tylenol or Paracetamol as much as possible. I'll be giving you a full update tomorrow, but this is very exiting for our kids - also if you have a pregnant friend - pass them the message.

Cheap & quick way to check if you have a mould problem
Totally forgot to include this in the video, but there's a visual contrast sensitivity test you can do online on Dr. Shoemaker's website - Surviving Mold. This is a super quick - less than 10 minutes - and super cheap - $15 test you can do from the comfort of your home which will give you a very reliable indication if you have a problem with CIRS. Now, this doesn't confirm if you have a mould at home, but it will give you a reliable indication whether YOU have been exposed. I have done the test, and - surprise, surprise - it's a fail, meaning I've suffered with the exposure to some biotoxins which have negatively impacted my brain and the ability to distinguish slight variance in shades of grey colour. I'm currently battling a nasty cold so as soon as I'm up and running I'll give you an update on the mould journey with us and William. This is my result - where the fail in both D and E column means hyperacute exposure. JOY! 😒 If you do the test for yourself - please let me know what the result was.

@Jodie Falcon you're welcome! We're currently battling the mould in our home and the mould is winning... 😅 just had a quote for all sorts of lab testing for both William and Willow that came up to £4600. I almost fell off my chair, so right now we might be doing the bear minimum. Let me know if you do the test - I'm curious what other results might look like compared to mine since I know we have a severe mould load in our home.

@Claudia Cimpoesu this might be of interest to you if you're at all concerned about potentially having an issue with mould.
Will be emotionally blackmailing my GP tomorrow...
After a lot of research on the subject I've decided to ask my GP to prescribe Leucovorin for William. Not holding my breath as in the UK it would be an off-label prescription. Normally this is used for cancer patients to help them deal with the side effects, but it's also been used in autistic kids who have abnormal folate metabolism - the DNA methylation test proves William has just that. I sent him all the lab tests we have had done up to this point as well as some research papers to support my hypothesis on why I think it will help our boy. I've also just started using a vagus nerve stimulation therapy and just about to buy red light therapy machine so keep your eye out on the updates on how these are going! https://nypost.com/2025/03/19/health/kids-with-autism-show-dramatic-improvement-with-cheap-drug/

@Jodie Falcon not for autism, I know it has some beneficial effects for the side effects of chemotherapy but not for autism. I'll have a look next week, thank you for the tip!
