What Truly Remains
{“And Allah increases those who are guided in guidance. And the enduring righteous deeds are better with your Lord in reward and better in return.”} — Qur'an Surah Maryam 19:76 Only the remembrance of God and obedience to Him truly remain. As for the worldly life, it is destined to become barren, and its enjoyments are bound to pass away. Nothing of it remains, neither dwelling nor gathering place, neither authority nor armies.

This really puts الدنيا in its place… everything fades except what’s done sincerely for Allah. May we not get distracted by what won’t last
Blessing or Gradual Deception? The True Measure of Divine Favor
“Say: Whoever is in misguidance—the Most Merciful will extend for him an extension (of respite) until, when they see what they were promised—either the punishment or the Hour—then they will know who is worse in position and weaker in forces.” — From the Qur’an, Qur'an (19:75) Explanation (from Muhammad al-Tahir ibn Ashur): The criterion for distinguishing between a blessing that arises from Allah’s pleasure with His servant and a blessing that is actually a gradual enticement (istidrāj) for the one who disbelieves is to observe the state of the person enjoying that blessing—whether they are in a state of guidance or misguidance

May Allah make our blessings a proof for us, not against us, and keep us firm upon guidance no matter what we’re given.
Every Breath Is Counted
“So do not hasten against them. We are only counting for them a numbered count.” — Qur'an, Surah Maryam 19:84 It is narrated that Al-Ma'mun once recited this surah and, when he reached this verse, a group of jurists were with him. He then signaled with his head to Ibn al-Sammak to give them an admonition. So Ibn al-Sammak said: “If breaths are numbered, and they are given no extension, how quickly they will run out.” And it was said in poetry about this meaning: Your life is but breaths being counted; whenever A breath passes from you, a part of you diminishes. That which gives you life each night is what brings you closer to death, Driven forward by a driver who intends no jest. And Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him and his father) would cry when he recited this verse and say: “The end of the count: the departure of your soul. The end of the count: your separation from your family. The end of the count: your entering the grave.”

SubhanAllah… this is a heavy reminder. May Allah make us mindful of every breath and allow us to use our time in what pleases Him
When Silence Is better then words
Translation “Then she brought him to her people, carrying him. They said, ‘O Maryam, you have certainly done an astonishing thing!’” (Surah Maryam 19:27) “O sister of Harun, your father was not a man of evil, nor was your mother unchaste.” (Surah Maryam 19:28) “So she pointed to him. They said, ‘How can we speak to one who is in the cradle, a child?’” (Surah Maryam 19:29) Reflection Allah guided Maryam to remain silent at a moment when it might seem that explaining herself was the only way to be saved. She obeyed, and she witnessed the beauty of Allah’s planning for her, far better than anything she could have arranged for herself. Not every battle is won through force or rushing to defend oneself. Some battles require nothing more than calmness, patience, and trust in God

As-Salaamu Alaikum. SubhanAllah, what a beautiful reflection. Maryam (AS) teaches us that silence, patience, and trust in Allah can be more powerful than words. May Allah increase us in sabr and tawakkul. JazakAllahu khair for the reminder
The Supplication of Weakness
"He said: My Lord, indeed my bones have weakened and my head has blazed with white hair." (Quran, Maryam: 4) He turned to Allah with his weakness and inability as his means of supplication — and this is among the most beloved of approaches to Allah, for it reflects a complete detachment from one's own strength and power, and a heart wholly attached to the strength and power of Allah. [Al-Sa'di: 489]

A beautiful reminder. 🤍 It shows that when we turn to Allah with humility and admit our weakness, we are actually showing the deepest form of trust in His strength and mercy. As Allah tells us in the Quran: “And your Lord says, Call upon Me; I will respond to you.” (Qur’an 40:60) May Allah make us among those who call upon Him sincerely in every state
