It felt good to whip through this one. I've been recording for a while, and have filmed in several locations through my house, and finally settled in my office in the basement because the room isn't used a lot so I can keep my tripod and ring light in the right area. This week I bought a magnetic attachment for the tripod which will cut down pre-recording steps. If you've been struggling to get started with Shorts, this might help. YouTube has quietly rolled out "Edit with AI" inside the Shorts creation tool on the app. Add your raw clips, up to 25 images or videos totalling 3 minutes, tap Edit with AI, choose a style, and it generates a first draft for you. It picks the best moments from your footage and puts them together into something watchable. It won't replace your creative judgment, but it gives you something to work with instead of a blank screen. Worth testing if you've got unused footage on your phone.

My channel is on metals, mining and investing in the mining industry, and to date I had posted a series of "talking head" videos, but I always had the goal of hosting interviews and/or have mining companies give presentations on their projects and activities. This morning I posted my first one - a presentation and discussion with a gold mining company with some innovative technology (Chesapeake Gold Corp.). EEEK!! I put my first VIDEO out there last night! 😳🫠🫠 I had done 50 episodes of my podcast and had zero that had my FACE. But, yesterday that all changed. 🫣 I feel good! I think I can do this over and over again! 👏 It took me 4 HOURS to edit a 14 min video... so, there's that.. but.. you guys!! It's UPLOADED! 👏👏👏
