Cold water / ice baths
Hi all, Just want to say over the last 7 weeks I've been using cold water / ice baths as part of my routine. To try and help my journey with cutting back/ having a break from alcohol. I've never really seen the hype about it and couldn't understand the why but as they say don't knock it till you have tried it. This has now become my Friday routine of an evening and what makes it better the venue it's held as put on a sober social event on Friday evenings. I can't actually describe how it's helped me or how I feel just yet but the cold dips have definitely help shift some things in me. And what I like is the fact when am in the ice it's just me and my thoughts no one else. What I have found powerful is that when the mind wants to give up this is proof the body can carry on and it's all a mental battle. If your looking to ad in any extras in to your daily / weekly / monthly routine I'd suggest giving it a try because so far this has been a god send for myself. If anyone is into it or has done it would be good to know how it has or hasn't helped you ? Have a good weekend

Love this 👏🏻👏🏻 well done. I have a lumi ice bath that got a couple of years ago and it’s been left empty in the garden!! Need to check no leaks but will give it another go. The feeling after is incredible just like cryotherapy which I’ve done a couple of times. I’ll come along to Fix one Friday night when can be in Mcr. We should do a “Scott sober social” @Scott Thomas new brand for you there 😂 “SSS”
Starting my Saturday right
I have started my Saturday in a positive way today and it feels good. Didn’t sleep particularly great and talked myself out of going to the gym which would usually be the start of a downward spiral day beating myself up. Instead I sat in the garden with my coffee and meditated for 10 minutes followed by some spiritual reading and some stretching. I have then set a timer for my phone for 15 minutes to reply to messages and have a scroll on social media and then that’s it. Days that started out like today could have ended up sat doom scrolling on my phone for way too long and overeating but I took positive action. Happy sunny Saturday all 🙏🏻

@Joanne A thankyou I think I’m going to love this book. Hopefully you will too.
Tips please on initially going sober
I would love some general tips please for those of you who have gone sober and that initial period of not drinking and how you still managed a social life and felt integrated into society and with your friends. I can be a party animal and my friends call me the social 🦋 I’m not sure how I feel about still trying to socialise and go in a bar etc without drinking certainly not in the early days. I’m totally comfortable being on my own, but would appreciate advise on how you have bridged that gap in those first few months. Without having the FOMO what did you do with your time etc. I know I will struggle with this. Thanks all 🙏🏻

Some notes from our online social!
Some notes from our online social! Big love to everyone who jumped on the Zoom — really appreciate you showing up and being part of it! We’re building something special here — and it’s only just getting started. Here are some key takeaways: • If you can see it, feel it, visualise it — who you are and where you want to be — it becomes so much easier to move towards it. ✨ • A vision board can help you get super clear on what you want — and when you’re clear, the action flows more naturally. 🎯🖼️ • Ask yourself: • What fills you up? ❤️‍🔥 • What genuinely makes you feel good? ☀️ • What has being alone taught you about yourself? • What does being authentic mean to you? 💭✨ • What self-limiting beliefs are holding you back? ⛔🧱 • Where can you carve out some proper you time? ⏰ Just for you — no guilt, no pressure. We also spoke about the power of working together 🤝 When you’re around the right people, everything feels lighter. You feel seen. You feel supported. You grow faster. We weren’t made to do this alone. Iron sharpens iron. ⚔️ And then there’s the lonely chapter — the one we don’t always shout about. That season where it’s just you and your thoughts. No distractions. That’s where your power is built. When you learn to love your own company, when you stop running from yourself — you become unstoppable. ⚡ Massive shoutout to Jenny for her idea of writing a letter to your future self ✍️💌 That’s something I’ll be sitting with this week. It’s such a powerful way to reflect, manifest and speak into existence what’s coming. And finally — this is an uplifting space. Yes, we have challenges. Yes, there are tough days. But the focus here is on progress, not perfection. Let’s keep celebrating each other’s wins 🏆 Let’s honour the milestones, big and small ✅ Let’s keep the energy high and the love flowing ❤️‍🔥 We go again — more clarity, more connection, more growth. Let’s keep showing up. Let’s keep doing the work. Scott xx 💫📈🔥🏆
