Self Care Sunday
Taking care of yourself is very important. Let me give you an example you may have heard of. Let's say your on an airplane and the plane has an emergency. The plane starts losing control and the oxygen masks come down. What do you do? Let's say your children are sitting are sitting next to you. You need to put your oxygen mask on first. Then you are able to properly take care of your children. If you are running out of oxygen eventually you will pass out. Then you will not be able to care for your children. You need to take care of yourself first. How often do we go without worrying about ourselves to please others? It's very important to take care of yourself. If not your body, mind will start to feel the effect. If you need that break from chaos, then take it. Is everything starting to feel overwhelming, then go somewhere to be by yourself. For most of us a new week is about to begin. We have had the weekend to enjoy and hopefully you took some time to rest. 1.How can you prepare yourself for the upcoming work week? 2. What is 1 thing you can do different to make sure you're taking care of yourself? 3. How can we pray for you? 4. Are you carrying any burdens into the week and just want to talk? Please comment below or message me or someone in the community. We are here to encourage and be there for each other. Have a blessed day!

Stop carrying my habits into the following day. Get up and out of bed. Simple as that. Up and out of bed. Follow to do list. Little things to make the day flow better.

@Robert Gault yes, you’re right it is much easier but once you’re out of bed it’s keeping yourself busy so to keep you from going back into bed and to sleep
Saturday can be the Beginning!
Everyday is a new beginning. First of all, by God's grace you woke up today. Today I got to watch a friend of mine in New York propose to his girlfriend. I had no idea this was going to happen. I got a text message saying he uploaded a video fo LinkedIn I need to watch. Over the past couple couple of years after meeting on LinkedIn we have become great friends. We both share love our love for Christ with each other, we are in a men's ministry group, and even share a similar background regarding our past and what we have overcome. Back to the proposal. Before he got down on one knee, He told the people there about God and thanked God for that moment. Oh I almost forgot. She said yes. My question is: Do you thank God in public, pray in publc?

What a beautiful thing to share and witness with them. I don’t pray in public apart from at church, I think I need to get into a better routine of praying at home first which I intend to do

@Robert Gault this is true, I prayed before bed last night and when I got up this morning. Going to stick to that routine so it becomes something I naturally do and practice. Was just a short one this morning as I’m not very good when I wake up but hopefully my prayers will improve with practice.
Music Monday and Verse Monday
I love Mondays. Monday is where we get to share a song that has been on our heart. It can be any song. I heard a new song this week that I cant wait to share with yall tomorrow. Don't forget. I will be posting the verse of the week in the calendar. A verse to think of during the week. On Friday I would love for you to share what the verse is saying to you, how that verse has applied to your life. Remember, no Googling the meaning of verse. Read it and pray for God's wisdom. I just pick a random verse out of the Bible. One that I don't know and will be reading just as you are. Let's see what is shared on Friday.

Saturday and Party Time
No. I dont mean that kind of party. If you do, then no judgement here. I have been there. I have been the party guy before. When I went to University of North Texas I joined a fraternity. You can imagine the parties we had. Anyway. Hope everyone has a blessed weekend. We started off with a great call this morning. There were 3 of us on the call but when we do things for God, we do it to touch that one person. I was blessed beyond words. I got to meet 2 of my brothers in person. @Eric Markum and @Calvin Hall it was such a pleasure talking to you. What a great conversation we had. It was great meeting you both. There more live events and other things that are going to start happening in this community. I am excited and what I'm doing is for every member of this community.

@Robert Gault amazing, I’ll check their communities out. I’m new to faith and finding my feet but feel truly held and protected and guided it’s another great coincidence I post on a post with the three of you. I’d love for them to join my poetry community, thank you for the suggestion and kind compliment.

@Robert Gault I’ll take a look over the community first then when I’ve found my feet I’ll certainly do just that. Thank you
