They’re earning little because they’re playing the wrong game. Here are 3 shifts that actually change results. 1️⃣ Stop relying on external structure Corporate gives you: – roles – feedback – safety Business gives you: – responsibility – uncertainty – no applause Most people don’t struggle because they’re bad. They struggle because they’re waiting for structure that no longer exists. The moment you build your own structure, things move. 2️⃣ Stop treating marketing and sales like a personality test Saying “marketing isn’t my thing” doesn’t make you aligned. It just makes growth optional. You don’t need to copy or become anyone you are not. But you do need to understand what works. 3️⃣ Trading certainty for expansion Growth requires constant correction. People who scale ask: “What’s not working?” Then fix it. People who stall ask: “Why hasn’t it worked yet?” One expands. One stays stuck.

Inconsistency isn’t a discipline problem. It’s an authority-safety problem. You’re not inconsistent because you lack commitment. You’re inconsistent because visibility still feels dangerous to a nervous system shaped by: • perfection pressure • real consequences for mistakes • immediate judgment • authority tied to hierarchy So when momentum builds, your body slows you down. Not because you don’t want growth… but because self-led authority is unfamiliar. When authority feels safe, showing up stops feeling like exposure. It becomes normal. It’s your regulation. Here’s how to fix it fast. After reviewing a huge number of sales processes, I found one pattern showing up again and again: People don’t lose sales because their offers are weak. They lose them because their nervous system gets overwhelmed at specific moments. Here’s where it tends to happen: 1. You soften right when leadership is needed Your voice hesitates and your clarity drops. You find yourself pulling back. This isn’t incompetence. It’s self-protection. SHIFT: Ground your feet before the call begins. Let your exhale guide your first sentence. 2. You delay naming your price Not because you doubt your work, but because receiving still feels unfamiliar in your body. SHIFT: Say your price aloud in private conversations until it stops activating fear. Your system needs repetition, not pressure. 3. You try to demonstrate value instead of holding authority This is where many coaches start “helping” too early. It comes from wanting to be chosen, not from clarity. SHIFT: Guide the conversation. Focus on understanding the client's internal problem before offering direction.
