Omg I can’t believe it 🥹💜🙌🏻
I’m just heading to bed, but I couldn’t wait to share this with you… We’ve just hit #199 in discovery 🥹 Honestly, this community is something really special. The kindness, the creativity, the way you all show up for yourselves and each other… it means more than I can put into words. This isn’t just growth, it’s connection. And I feel so grateful to be building this little pocket of calm with you. Sleep well tonight knowing you’re part of something beautiful 🤍 Love you guys ! 🥰❤️😘

So proud of you my friend, and can’t wait to see you soon ❤️
Week One let’s go ! 🎉🎉🎉
Follow the link below which will take you to Google Maps, switch to Street View… and have a wander. You’ll find yourself near the beautiful coastline around Whitsand Bay in South Cornwall with dramatic cliffs, winding roads, sea stretching out forever. On a clear day the light is just magic. ✨ ✏️ What to look for - The curve of the coastline - Clifftop grasses moving in the wind - Texture in the rock faces - Tiny details like fences, signs, pathways - The horizon line where sea meets sky Remember you don’t have to stay in the exact spot you’ve landed in go and have a stroll ❤️ You could: - Do a loose 5 minute line sketch - Focus just on the shapes of the cliffs - Study the tones of sea and sky - Zoom right in and draw a single detail - You could write a poem about how it makes you feel. - Write a small piece of music if that’s your jam. And remember… It doesn’t have to be perfect. It just has to be yours. Starting local to me feels grounding. Before we hop across oceans, I want to honour my own shoreline first. I am so excited for you to go exploring ! The pics below are my interpretations of this place and I’ve done a few so you can see the variety. Passports ready? See you in Street View 🌍✏️ https://maps.app.goo.gl/RHBmhxcchFKywsn39?g_st=ic

@Stephanie Kara thank you Stephanie ☺️
It’s happening 😱🥰💜📩
I have a little plan forming over here and I wanted to share it with you because I am honestly really excited. 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻 I am starting something new called The Smidgen Post. It is a monthly print club where I will send a signed piece of my artwork straight to your door. Sometimes it will be a painting, sometimes an etching or mixed media piece. I like the idea that every envelope carries a little surprise and a glimpse into whatever I am exploring creatively that month.. I have chosen the 1st of March to send out the very first Smidgen Post. It would have been my Dad’s birthday. He passed away last year 😢 and beginning this little print club on that day feels like a way of carrying something forward. Creativity, memory and the things that connect us. 🙏🏼🥰 If it feels like something you would enjoy being part of, I will be offering the first places at a gentle founding member price. That price will always stay the same as a thank you for believing in me and supporting this little idea right at the beginning.🥰🙏🏼 I will let you know how you can register in the next few days 🥰📋 Thanks for reading Kate

Burnt out but that’s ok 🥰
Today I’m feeling a bit burnt out. One of those days where everything feels louder and heavier than usual. Working on this week’s theme — Noticing has gently reminded me that creativity doesn’t always mean doing more. Sometimes it means doing less and paying closer attention instead. Noticing the light through the window. Noticing my breath slow down. Noticing when my body is asking me to pause. These moments don’t look productive, but they matter just as much. They hold us when we’re tired. They help us come back to ourselves. I have added week three to the classroom ( including kids version) enjoy and spread the wealth 🥰 If today feels like a noticing day for you too, that’s more than enough 🌱

Writing, Podcasts and Years of Kate
Hi everyone! I'm Kane! I've never used Skool before and have only recently been introduced to it via Kate who has been my partner in crime for many years! I'm so proud that she has created a space for all creatives to come and share their work, ideas, and stories, and it's so good to see it growing. I recently graduated in Creative Writing and am currently undertaking a research MPhil in Golden Age Detective Fiction and to help me advance my research skills, I have recently started a new podcast where I dive deep into the lives of the authors behind some of the most iconic books, it would be really good if any of you would check it out. So far the podcast has covered Agatha Christie, John Steinbeck, Enid Blyton and more - and at the moment we have a special giveaway on our Instagram (see image attached). If anyone would like to check it out, it's called The Author Files [theauthorfilespodcast on Instagram]. I love writing, it's my passion but I also love to see people's art - something which I'm not very good at myself! But as mentioned previously it is so nice to finally have a space where I can share work and see and get involved in other's work too. Anyway, now that I've introduced myself and done some shameless plugging, I hope everyone is keeping well and enjoying this space! I look forward to interacting with you all!
