Nervous System Primer: First Look
Playing around with some new classroom tools this week — wanted to share a draft of what I'm building for the Nervous System Primer module. This is still rough, but the direction feels right. Would love to know what lands for you and what you'd want more of. 👇 Drop your thoughts below.

@John Pederson that all completely makes sense to be really dialed in and focused on the purpose, and the meaning rather than the superfluous vessel or packaging that that purpose in meaning can be found in. I really appreciate that perspective! We’re pretty new here at Mantle only being open for about eight weeks now. So still developing our community but being very centered and focused on the heat and cold being the medicine that can open things up for our guests. Definitely plan on a visit anytime you’re here and Central Texas!

Haha! Meaning > ornament!!! anything you put out? I’m gonna check out… I’m really loving all of this knowledge base that you’re creating and I could not be more aligned with the approach to bathing culture and the thermal culture.
Monday Practice: The Opening Before Reaction
Happy Monday everyone! I’m spending today converting more of our core Sauna Skool material into video — taking what we’ve been building in writing and translating it into something you can practice in real time. This is the heart of it: Saunas can proliferate across backyards and rooftops. But if the practice doesn’t deepen, it’s just another amenity. The real gift of thermic bathing isn’t the heat. It's what the heat asks of you. Steadiness. Elasticity. The pause before reaction. That can’t be installed. It can only be trained. Sauna Skool exists because more access doesn’t automatically mean more depth. Practice does. As we build this resource out together, I’d love to hear from you: Where in your life right now do you most need that pause before reaction? Work?Family?Partnership?Decision-making?Your own inner dialogue? Drop it below. And thank you for being here this early. What we’re building isn’t content — it’s capacity. Your participation shapes it. Let’s train steadiness this week.

I think the thing that I’m recognizing recently that I need more pause before response/reaction is in my closest relationships. Because I care so much about these people I really want to be thoughtful about that interaction so that it is the most meaningful the most connected and the most careful of theirs and my emotional well-being in that moment… Whether that’s conflict or moments of intimacy or just quiet moments of quality time together. The momentary pause the breath of going inward and finding the genuine interaction with another human being.
