Hey guys, if someone you have had almost no prior contact with and is not really active in the group, reaches out in private messages, starts asking a lot of questions and it feels a bit off, do a little check to see if they are a legit part of the community. Especially if you already gave a boundary and they keep persisting while they are surprisingly well-spoken and polite. If they hardly ever say anything in the community and are a part of many communities, they could very well be an AI troll. It might seem harmless and they could well be a real person, so I wouldn't throw them under the bus, but it's probably best to kindly decline further contact.
