New Instagram Page
Hello, magical people! I just want to let you know that, inspired by Mary and this group, I finally got around to launching an Instagram page devoted to fairy houses. Please follow if you are so inclined! @thefairiesgodmother. Thanks!

Glue!
I have created and maintain a fairy community in a park near where I live. I'll attach a few photos. One issue I have been having is GLUE! I like to make these fairy houses as impervious to the weather as possible, as they are outside year round. Hot glue--no good. It dissolves in a heavy rain. I switched to an industrial construction glue--Loctite Powergrab Ultimate. It seemed to be working better...but I'm finding that it, too, doesn't really hold up to weather. Suggestions?

@Mary Bachmann The lamp: Waldosia 1:12 scale miniature LED Oil Lamps (I got them on Amazon, but they do have their own website). The bracket: RillyRellow Miniature Metal Wall Bracket (also Amazon). Re the windows, I have been using a 2" dozer for 2" windows, but if the windows were a tiny bit bigger, that would be great because I could just glue them in instead of having to use wood putty! And lastly, there is not a website just for the fairy houses. I have been intending to create a dedicated instagram page for the fairy houses, but my tolerance for tech challenges is limited. I have a page for my artwork @vandevelderartwork that my daughter originally set up for me... I have some of the houses on that page. I'll work on this challenge and let you know if/when I succeed!
Challenge 2: Share Your Tiny Fairy Chair
This is the sharing post for our 2nd Fairyland Challenge: Make a Tiny Fairy Chair. Once you’ve made your chair, you’re invited to share a photo in the comments below. It doesn’t have to be perfect, polished, or fancy - the magic is in trying, using what you find, and seeing how everyone creates something different from simple natural materials. If you’d like, you can also tell us a little about your chair: - Where did you find your materials? - What did you use - wood chips, bark, twigs, toothpicks, acorns, pinecones, or something else? - How did you put it together? - Was anything easier, trickier, or more surprising than you expected? - Where did your tiny chair end up - in a fairy garden, flower pot, forest corner, fairy house scene, or somewhere else? I can’t wait to see where all these tiny fairy chairs appear.

@Sandra Arsenault Adorable!

This is a piece I started last year after becoming obsessed with dried vines curly tendrils. It's a combination of twigs, glue and paper wrapped wire to create structure (paper wrapped wire has been amazing for blending in). I am debating how much I want to fill in the form, with more curly twigs, brown wire to create structure in a repeated pattern, or dried flowers/lichen... is it nice being so airy or does it need more substance for the shape to read? It also does not have a home destination yet, so could live inside. Maybe with a potted plant and have something petite like Ceropegia growing on it? Welcoming any thoughts!

I started making fairy houses years ago with my daughter. Now I make fairy houses for a local conservation organization and for my own pleasure!
