I’d love to hear how other NPs handle patient screening and medical clearance. • Do you have a specific list of exclusion/contraindication criteria for patients who cannot receive IV therapy at your clinic? Like 18 years+ only, age 70+ require PCP clearance and blood work, pregnant and breastfeeding patients require OB /GYN note and can they get at list NS/LR bag? (My medical director does not want to get involved with pregnant population lol and I do! Tons of patients want hydration and nausea relief lol). • Which patients do you require to obtain clearance from their PCP or specialist (oncology patients) • Do you requireOB/GYN clearancefor pregnant patients or patients who are pregnant/trying to conceive? • Are there certain medical conditions or medications that prompt you to require additional blood? • Do you have different screening requirements depending on the type of IV (hydration, vitamins, glutathione, high-dose vitamin C, etc.)? I’m particularly interested in hearing how other NPs have structured their screening questionnaire, exclusion list, lab requirements, and clearance process. If anyone is willing to share a general outline of their protocol or what has worked well in their practice, I’d really appreciate it! Thank you!

I purchased the IV Wellness Guide and the dosing and infusion recipes. Not worth $200 (IMO). But in looking through it, it seems that there are very few vitamins and supplements that can be IV pushed. In Arkansas, I’m not allowed to put anything in the bag. So I was planning to just SIVP everything. Yes, I know I need to consult with my medical director. I haven’t purchased that part yet, so I’m hoping that anyone in a non compounding state can offer some advice. I would so appreciate seeing a list of meds you’re pushing, and maybe some combos?

Do you have attorney to review your consents/set up and everything in between? Recs for attorney?

I used to work at Restore (nationwide wellness chain) and their base fluid for all their infusion was NS. We barely used LR. Any insights? Thanks by the way for all answers. for free. Appreciate a lot!
