@Lisa Vanderveen well as it happens, we average once every two months thereabouts but without a long list. We have our own vehicle, otherwise I wouldn’t even bother, to be honest with you. We only buy what we absolutely cannot get at our local grocery store or open market and mostly for things we use around the holidays (i.e. turkey, ham, cranberry sauce, pecans, etc.). We use coolers, and as far as storage, same as here… on shelves as my make-shift pantry. In Guatemala I have a freezer, so that helps. We’ve learned to live without a good many items while in Guatemala. The trade off is wonderful though bc we eat much healthier there with fresh, daily (and more economical) fruits and vegetables. Ah… homeschooling—been there, done that and hats off to you and any who do this. It’s not for the faint of heart but oh what a worthy investment in our children!
