Back-up Drivers - SE Denver Area
Hey all - we’re under 2 years old. My biz partner and sometimes his son do all the driving. Their family had a tragic situation which will pull my biz partner away temporarily but unsure for how long. The son is partially impacted but not as much, however his availability is less and less reliable as he has found other jobs at this point. How have you navigated getting a backup driver (CDL needed) on an as-needed basis? Pay structure? Insurance? Lead time for jobs? Etc where to find these folks that aren’t going to want to be paid a ton but have a fair amount of availability (and maybe experience?!) Thought about someone retired but wants something to do here and there. Please share your experiences, things I should consider and avoid, and any resources you might have! Note, we’ve always talked about me getting my CDL, but that takes time and money we don’t have right now.

There are three really good categories for part-time drivers in this industry. 1. Firemen 2. Prior Military with a decent disability rating 3. Retired men who are a bit bored with sitting home all day, but don’t really need the money. Sorry to hear about the difficulties. Hope it works itself out soon!
Commercial Auto Insurance
Hello fellow runners! I’m looking for commercial auto options for a Hooklift Truck. I Currently have Geico, but the rates are outrageous. I’m just getting started with 6 cans (15,20 yards). Have also been debating between 1 million coverage or less. I’m at 300k currently. Any insight is appreciated. I’m in Jacksonville, Florida. Thanks Geordane

It was an absolute honor to put together a great show for everyone. I’ve gotten a ton of fantastic feedback, and it seems like most had a great time! With that said… There is always room to improve, and I have a couple things in mind that I feel I could have done better. What do you guys think could be improved for next year? Should we do two days of main event show? Should we have one day for education and another day for strictly vendors and networking? Was the venue a good place to host or should we try to find more of a convention center style location? All feedback is good feedback so long as it’s trying to improve and not tear down. Don’t hold back. Let me know what you think we should do differently for next year.

Welcome to THE DUMPSTER RUNNERS NETWORK! Please introduce yourselves and tell us your company name and where you're from. We are going to be taking a deep dive into the world of dumpster. Talking about equipment, marketing, networking, community building, and so much more. We welcome everyone from rookie to master. From aspiring entrepreneur to seasoned veteran of their trade. I hope all of you can take a moment and introduce yourselves. Once that is out of the way we can dive into the wins or pain points each of us is going through. You never know who might be right down the road from you. They can become a GREAT back up resource if your equipment goes down or you're overloaded with work, and if not - maybe you just make a new friend to chat with who shares a similar interest! Make SURE you check out the MAP tab at the top. It will show you roughly where each member is located. It says that it it shows each person as 10 miles off roughly, but I have noticed some people much farther off then I believe they should be. We'll have to check that out and see how it performs over time. FANTASTIC feature for seeing who is close to you though. UTILIZE IT!

What to Expect: Spring Training Event March 13-15, 2026
Firstly… Thank you for being here. You just making it to this page shows you have an interest in growing, learning, and collaborating in this industry. While there are a lot of us who like to work together and build each other up, there are plenty more that don’t, and hate the idea of people sharing information and “saturating the market.” In my experience “Collaboration WINS” and there are plenty of big mega corporations we can rally against to take a share of the pie for ourselves and help fellow small business owners succeed and provide a better life for themselves and their families. Now that we got that out of the way let me throw out some house keeping. If you are planning to come to the event here is the important info: Where to get tickets: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/dumpster-runners-network-spring-training-event-tickets-1979400098980?aff=oddtdtcreator Travel and Lodging Information: Airport, Tampa International (TPA) Hotel Block Options: Option A - Current 30 Room Block Comfort Inn and Suites Address: 6206 US-19, New Port Richey, FL 34652 +1 (727) 261-9700 Room Block Link: https://www.choicehotels.com/reservations/groups/SW20B5 Description: Built within the last decade, standard Comfort Inn chain hotel located a short 5 minute walk away from downtown. Description: Historic building built in 1927. Catered to many “Hollywood” type celebrities such as Marilyn Monroe, Babe Ruth, and many more. Renovated and reopened to the public in 2022. Located IN downtown. Not a great option for large truck parking, but would be perfect for someone flying in and looking to experience a little piece of history while also staying close to the action.
