Suggestion for calendar sync
Despite the colorful image in the ads, typical CalSync users would have a single color in their calendar events, as color is per calendar, which makes It a bit less interesting. I am an Outlook Calendar user, and use 7 or 8 categories which help me organizing though coloring each event in terms of its category (blue lessons, red research meetings, etc). I was wondering if It could be possible for the app to give the users the choice between using a per-calendar color and inheriting the color of each event from its own color (category) in the original calendar? I think It could make the planner much more useful.

Well, I have 6 calendar feeds and I have set them all up with different colors... The colors are "washed out" but that is a function of the tablet's technology, not the software.
Calsync Carousel "stuck"
Has anyone experienced a stuck carousel sleep screen that is days old? Mine is stuck on 8/18! Whether there are activities or not, it always goes back to that date. Like, it is not updating with every synchronization/regenerate. Any ideas? I've tried rebooting the rM Pro, turning on and off the setting for sleep screen graphics... Any suggestions? Thx!

Where is the carousel page stored? Can I delete it to see if it solves my problem by regenerating a new one? Just a thought.
🚀 CalSync 1.7.0 is Here
Your pen can now complete tasks. Big one today. This is the release I've been teasing. Task Markup Connect Todoist and your tasks print right on your planner's Top Three and Tasks lists (Clarity day style). Check a task with your pen and CalSync completes it in Todoist on the next sync, prints the check, and strikes the title so the page agrees with your marks. Draw an X to dismiss a task on the planner without touching it in Todoist. A dash moves its due date forward a day. Your handwriting is read exactly where it sits on the page, and a mark is never acted on twice. Pen reading works today on planners connected through reMarkable Cloud, with more connections on the way. Tasks land on the right day A task with a due date prints on that day's page. An overdue task moves to today and shows struck through on the day it left. A finished task prints checked on the day you completed it, in your planner's own time zone. Past pages keep their record, so yesterday's page still shows what happened yesterday. Also in 1.7.0 • Todo Lists joins Settings: sign in to Todoist once, then map each project to the planner list where it belongs. Microsoft To Do, Google Tasks and Apple Reminders are next in line. • Task sync that survives a bad connection: if your task service is briefly unreachable, planners keep printing the last known tasks instead of blank lists. • Your plan name reads right everywhere, plus a stack of smaller reliability fixes. How to get it The easiest way is to open CalSync and let it update itself. For a fresh install, these links always grab the newest version: Mac (Apple Silicon, M1/M2/M3): https://www.einkpads.io/api/calsync/darwin/arm64/releases/latest Mac (Intel): https://www.einkpads.io/api/calsync/darwin/x64/releases/latest Windows: https://www.einkpads.io/api/calsync/win32/releases/latest

Unfortunately, I have had very mixed results with the Todoist integration. It very nicely "pulls" the tasks and orders them nicely in the CalSync page. However, somehow the software totally ignores any checkmarks, dashes, or x's when I make them on the rM Pro. They remain in Todoist unchanged, and I don't see the crossover line identified in the announcement. Any ideas what I could be doing wrong? BTW, the file is closed whenever I do a push. Thx.

@Jason Smith Ok, just so that I understand the functionality and what to expect. If I have a task list pulled from Todoist through their API token, and if it gets imported correctly and displayed correctly, then: - If I put a check mark on the task box for a specific task, it will be marked as "done/completed" in Todoist? - If I put a dash mark on the task box for a specific task, it will push the task to the next day? For this to happen, I would need to regenerate, right? However, the markups are in the tablet, not in your servers. So how does the regeneration know to check the markups on the to-do section items? Because you still need to push to the device, so I don't understand how the integration works. So confused... Please help this newbie.
On the cover page...
Is there a way to go back to the cover page easily? A button, maybe? A link? I'd like to close my pdf file with the cover showing, not the last page visited. I have no interest in picking up where I left and closed. I want to see the cover in the rMK directory structure. Thx.
Ink notes "move" throughout the day within the sync'd calendar pages
So. Someone please explain to me. I have a calendar (Outlook via .ics link) that syncs nicely. Colors and everything. I even have a Todoist .ics feed for my to-dos which works great. Yet... Let's say that I make an X or cross out an item (knowing well that such will have no effect in the source calendars/list), and then close the pdf on the rMK Pro. Since I have the auto scheduled updates, let's say one hour goes by. Clearly at least one updated upload has taken place. I open the pdf, and... all notes are there, but all out of whack in a totally misaligned fashion (like, by a lot). Sort of defeats the concept of writing on the pdf relative to specific items (like checkboxes). Is this the expected behavior of the software? Is it a result of "regenerating" the pdf? Thx.
