Have you checked if your time zone is set correctly in Settings?
🚀 CalSync 1.7.3 is live
This release is all about the day-to-day feeling rock solid: your calendars, your pen, and your time zones. More reliable calendar display Your connected calendars land on your planner more consistently now. We tightened the whole pipeline from feed to tablet, so what you see in the app is what shows up on your device. Pen task sync over USB and Wi-Fi Task Markup is no longer cloud-only. Check off, forward, or clear a task with your pen on a reMarkable connected over USB or local Wi-Fi, and CalSync reads it back and updates Todoist, Google Tasks, Microsoft To Do, or your CalDAV list on the next sync. Cloud still works too. Cleaner "done" on tasks Finished tasks now get a crisp done badge that sits next to your own handwriting instead of doubling up on it, so a completed task reads clean at a glance. Set your time zone once New in Settings: a global default time zone. Set it one time and every new planner (and every time zone dropdown) starts there, with an "Apply to all planners" button to bring your existing ones in line. Update now — auto-update will bring it to you, or grab it here: Mac (Apple Silicon): https://www.einkpads.io/api/calsync/darwin/arm64/releases/latest Mac (Intel): https://www.einkpads.io/api/calsync/darwin/x64/releases/latest Windows: https://www.einkpads.io/api/calsync/win32/releases/latest Linux: https://www.einkpads.io/api/calsync/linux/x64/releases/latest Questions or requests? @Jason Smith , in CalSync 1.7.3, I don't see tasks in the templates for the reMarkable Paper Pro Move. Will they be available in the next version?

@Robert Perkins The same thing happened to me with a task.
Universal Mode
A question about Universal Mode: if you copy the planner directly onto your reMarkable, do you keep the handwritten annotations you had in it? What happens if you mark a task as complete in your calendar? Is the task managed automatically, or do you need reMarkable Cloud or Direct for that?

reMarkable Cloud sync fails after pairing — safeStorage token decrypts to empty on managed Windows (enc:true unreadable)
@Jason Smith Send the following to the technical team. Summary On a corporate-managed Windows machine, reMarkable Cloud sync consistently fails with "Couldn't connect to reMarkable Cloud." Re-pairing with a fresh one-time code does not help — pairing succeeds, but every subsequent cloud operation fails. Environment - App: EP CalSync (Programs\CalSync), app version reported as 1.7.3 (executable) / 1.7.1 (device record). - Device: reMarkable Paper Pro Move, connectionMode: cloud. - OS: Windows (corporate/domain-managed). - Security stack on the machine: CrowdStrike Falcon, Trend Micro Apex One, plus corporate Group Policy. - Note: The Windows domain password is due to expire in a few days (user has not changed it yet). What works (ruled out as the cause) - Internet connectivity is fine. reMarkable endpoints are reachable: my.remarkable.com returns 200; eu.tectonic.remarkable.com and internal.cloud.remarkable.com return 401 (expected without token). TLS handshakes to reMarkable succeed with no corporate interception. - The Google/Google Tasks credentials load correctly (gcal-creds.json, gtasks-creds.json). Root cause (confirmed) The reMarkable cloud token is stored encrypted but decrypts to an empty string on read, so loadRemarkableCloudToken() returns '' and the app treats the device as "not connected." - remarkable-cloud-creds.json contains { "token": { "enc": true, "v": "<base64>" } } (589 bytes). The encrypted envelope is written correctly at pairing time. - On read, snDec() takes the enc:true branch and calls safeStorage.decryptString(buf). On this machine that call fails to return the original token (safeStorage/DPAPI decrypt is unreliable — likely due to the managed environment and/or imminent domain password rotation, which affects the DPAPI master key). Per your own code comment, this is the documented "root cause of the cloud-connect-after-pairing

Cannot connect to Remarkable Cloud
My CalSync 1.7.2 can no longer connect and sync my planners. I get the following message: reMarkable Cloud sync failed Couldn’t connect to reMarkable Cloud. Please try again. If it keeps failing, run Diagnose Connection. The planner is saved on your computer — you can transfer it manually. I can connect to the reMarkable cloud with every device and computer I have, except CalSync keeps failing.

That’s happened to me, too. Try switching your phone's Wi-Fi connection. It fixed itself for me. The Wi-Fi might be blocking the port, but it eventually unblocks.

@Robert Perkins I'm really sorry that didn't work for you. If I came up with a solution, I'd let you know.
