Day 6 of the Hero's Journey – The Ordeal (The Inner Battle)
This is the real fight. Not against your body —but against despair, meaninglessness, comparison, and self-doubt. This is where the Inner Warrior is forged. Quietly. Daily. Through choices no one applauds. Reflection: What inner battle have you had to face that others might never see?

Doubt about my future, Self-doubt aswell some days
Day 3 of the Hero's Journey – The Refusal of the Call
Every hero resists the call. Anger. Grief. Shock. The quiet thought: “This can’t be my life.” This isn’t failure. This is human. The Inner Warrior is not born here - but he begins to stir. Reflection: What did resistance look like for you in those early days?

It was when I was told it would take nearly 1 year for my recovery/rehabilitation. I Said to doctors and family that I will be out of here/home in 6months. 5 n a half months later I was flown back up north from burwood.

7 Days of the Hero’s Journey (You are the Hero. The Hero is the Inner Warrior.)
Day 1 – The Ordinary World Before the injury. Before life split into before and after. This was your ordinary world. Your routines. Your identity. Your sense of who you were. Every hero starts here. Not because it was perfect, but because it was familiar. Reflection: What did your “ordinary world” look like before everything changed? (No pressure to reply. Just notice what comes up.)

Monday Reset – Where Your Attention Goes
New week. Fresh reset. Before the noise kicks in, here’s a simple check-in. Your life doesn’t move in the direction of your effort, it moves in the direction of your attention. What we focus on grows. What we keep feeding gets stronger. This week isn’t about fixing everything. It’s about noticing where your attention is going…and gently reclaiming it when it drifts. One breath. One choice. One moment at a time. If you want to engage, finish this sentence in one line: This week, I want to give more of my attention to ______. Or just read this and take the reset. That’s enough for Monday.

Beach Lessons
I’m at the beach today. Watching the waves roll in… unhurried, relentless, steady. The ocean doesn’t fight resistance. It adapts. It finds a way forward, every single time. Life with a spinal injury can feel the opposite. Sand where wheels don’t want to roll. Wind, heat, access issues. Moments that remind you what’s harder now. But sitting here is also a reminder: You don’t have to win every battle today. Sometimes showing up, breathing it in, and letting the mind settle is enough. Brotherhood is like the ocean. Different waves. Same water. Same depth. 🌊 What frustrates you most about being at the beach with a spinal injury? 👇 Say it out loud. You’re not the only one.

Not being able to just Run into the Ocean and diving in when the water gets to high on the body. And going under the Waves Fortunately I can get on the beach with my 6x6 explorer. Grateful to still be able to get onto the beach, right up to the water and relax watch the Waves come in and out,And the sun on my face is awesome. Cheers.
