I forgot to get pictures of my morning outfit when we were planning on shopping for my wife’s new car which consisted of a black Charles Tyrwhitt shirt over Vertx dark wash jeans with a brown Hank’s Belts leather belt and brown Georgia Boot Romeo’s. Plans changed, and I ended up changing to get some projects done around the property and I ended the day in my work clothes which consisted of my International Harvester hat, white t-shirt, Key Double Front Logger pants, Welch suspenders, and brown Romeo’s.

Elevated Essentials for the Modern Gentleman
This ensemble strikes a fine balance between classic refinement and relaxed confidence, anchored by a rich navy sport coat, khaki trousers, and dark brown suede horsebit loafers that add texture and depth. The white-and-blue Bengal stripe shirt is the cornerstone of the outfit and remains a must-have in every gentleman’s wardrobe; its versatility allows it to pair effortlessly with tailoring, denim, and everything in between while always conveying understated elegance. The crisp white puff-fold pocket square introduces just enough contrast to brighten the jacket without appearing overly formal or contrived. Completing the look, the Tissot dress watch and dark brown suede loafers work in harmony, reinforcing a timeless aesthetic that favors quality and restraint over excess. The result is a polished business-casual ensemble that feels equally at home in the boardroom, at Sunday service, or enjoying a refined afternoon in the Texas Hill Country. P.S. I purchased my shirt from Paper Cloth. https://propercloth.com/design-a-shirt?shirtID=2976624

Very nice look. Initially appears refined yet simple; however, upon closer investigation it’s evident this outfit is thought through down to the minute detail.

Internal meeting only day for work. I will be demonstrating how to write a scientific abstract for submission to a conference to two of my colleagues today. It's a necessary (and often enjoyable) part of the scientist's career. Plus this will give them both authorship for the work, something that will be a first for our youngest employee. The outfit fits the approach: it's a work day without vendor or client meetings. Dress to be intentional, but both engaging and ready to do work myself. 📍 Shirt – DS-030 (Charles Tyrwhitt): A pink cotton twill dress shirt with point collar and French cuffs, projecting quiet confidence without excessive formality. The soft pink hue warms the face on camera while the French cuffs signal elevated attention to detail. 📍 Vest – VWC-002 (Charles Tyrwhitt): An indigo blue sharkskin wool vest with five navy buttons and a silver rear adjuster buckle. The sharkskin weave creates subtle depth and visual interest, adding executive polish to the vest-and-tie combination without requiring a jacket. 📍 Tie – NT-040 (Nordstrom): A taupe/brown silk jacquard with repeating geometric pattern in subtle cream and dark brown tones. The 3" blade width sits perfectly modern, while the low-sheen finish and neutral palette complement both the pink shirt and indigo vest—business formal without shouting. Tied in a Half Windsor. 📍 Tie Accessories – TA-011: Sonia Jewels sterling silver 2" tie bar. The polished tie bar anchors everything cleanly between the third and fourth shirt buttons. 📍 Slacks – SL-003 (Santorelli): Light gray virgin wool slacks with single outward pleats, tailored twice for a precise fit. The subtle stair-step weave and medium drape project sophistication, while the cream secondary tones harmonize with the tie's neutral palette. 📍 Belt – B-009 (Nordstrom): A dark brown leather belt with silver buckle—flat finish, thick collar, and the rich brown tone ties directly to the shoes and tie's earth tones. 📍 Footwear – DSh-019 (Carmina): Carmina braided leather slippers from Mallorca in dark brown with Goodyear welt construction, chiseled toe, and brass tacks at heel and toe. The braided upper adds texture and visual interest, while the slip-on silhouette remains business casual appropriate for an internal-meetings-only day.

@Dr. Jason Cole interesting. So do you work specifically with pharmaceutical companies or have you done work with entities such as hospice or palliative care?

@Dr. Jason Cole that makes perfect sense. I only asked about hospice and palliative care because my wife is currently a hospice RN for a hospital with a new palliative care unit which is frequently being discussed in our home, and I’m still wrapping my head around it as my only medical background is prehospital, and I’ve been removed almost entirely from that for a few years now. Thank you for your insight into this! It has been very enlightening and has definitely piqued my interest.
OOTD - Friday 19 June
“Pay attention everybody, class is about to begin” 😉 - Last time i promise Today is Friday which means it s the weekly walk to the caffe for Coffee with my youngest before school. It is a user able day here today so umbrellas and Jackets were a must. Now as our resident knowledgeable sartorialist @Brian McGuire has told us many times. White, Light Blue and Pink are staple shirts every man should own. Today I have grabbed my pink OTAA Oxford to dress in another of my Blue Suits. This combination is one many guys typically shy away from, as many consider pink a more feminine colour, it was once however a male dominated hue. I have selected a tie I received from my daughters this past Christmas, and the Mostly pink striped socks from Charles Tyrwhitt help to incorporate this scheme. Keeping my latest Pocket Square for OTAA, the Done Vitone, and my current favourite shoes in the CNES MTO Oxford keeps this look solid and I think perfect. Todays outfit consists of; Blunt Executive Umbrella in Charcaol (in its sling) Britton Brood Snap Cap in Washed Navy and Aluminium M.J. Bale Pascal Peacoat in Navy M.J. Bale Ballard Suit in True Blue OTAA Pacelli Pink Oxford Shirt OTAA Crosshatch Silver Tie Bar Geoffrey Beene Navy with Pink Pinstripe (2025 Christmas Present from my Girls) OTAA Don Vitone Blue Woolen Pocket Square Anson Blue leather Strap with a Classic Curved Buckle in Silver OTAA Jack O’ Cups Shattuckite Skull Bracelet Charles Tyrwhitt Pink Striped Socks CNES CNES MTO Oxford with Goodyear welted construction and crafted from Italian crust leather SOTD - Versace Eros Flame WOTD - Invicta Grand Diver, aka Big Red
