Ready for this week!
I am ready to stop and look at the way I respond now vs the way I use to. One thing that came to mind is not reacting or defending myself. My old self would have went down and posted all the receipts and took the situation all the way low. I chose not to said what I said set my boundary. Gave it to God and had a wonderful night. I am learning everything is not worth my energy or time.
🤫 SILENT SCOREKEEPER — WEEK 3: BECOME EMOTIONALLY CLEAR
You made it to Week 3! 🎉 Take a moment to celebrate that. You've spent the first two weeks learning to notice what you've been suppressing and beginning to process what you've been storing. Now it's time to take the next step: Identity Reinforcement Your Week 3 focus is: Become Emotionally Clear. As a Silent Scorekeeper, your goal isn't to become louder, more confrontational, or reactive. Your guide is very clear: You are not trying to become reactive. You are building a new identity: Calm and Clear. This week, practice one intentional expression each day. It doesn't have to be a huge conversation. It can be something simple: “My feelings are valid.” “Expression strengthens connection.” “I can be honest and still be safe.” You might say: “That actually bothered me.” “I need a minute.” “I don't agree.” The goal is to begin choosing clarity over suppression. At night, ask yourself: “Where did I choose clarity over suppression?” Remember, your strength is your composure, thoughtfulness, patience, and stability. This week you're learning that expression does not equal escalation and that you can communicate what you feel calmly and clearly. 🔥 Finish Strong You've already done the hard work of looking inward. Now practice letting what's happening inside of you have a healthy voice. You don't have to say everything. You don't have to explain everything. You don't have to confront everyone. Just practice one intentional expression a day. Calm. Clear. Honest. You've made it to Week 3. Finish strong, Silent Scorekeeper! 💛

Today things have not been going my way and I kept getting news after news. However I didn't panic or fall apart. I took some time to regulate and I did allow myself to feel what I was feeling. Prayed and I felt a comfort and peace. My normal response would have been to cancel everything and focus on what was going wrong. I chose to have intentional time with my family and it was great. I wish I would have embraced my emotions years ago I wouldn't have to go back to these hard places and deal with them now.
What belief did you discover underneath one of your triggers.
One thing that I noticed when I get triggered my body tense up and my mind goes wild. I go from A to Z on what could happen or how it might happen. I almost feel like I plan out from the good to the bad of what is going to happen next. When That happens my head starts to hurt and my left eye starts to blur. The overthinking of the worst possible outcome is where my mind goes. My natural response is to plan my exit to protect myself.

What I have been doing is stopping and taking a few breathes getting myself to pause and then telling myself even if the worst does happen it is going to be ok because I am not rooted in my circumstances. Trying to stay rooted and focused that Jesus is my source and bigger than whatever it is that I am facing.

Right now, I am learning so much about myself and to be honest it is almost scary. This year has been ups and downs. I have to say I feel that I am in a safe space to be honest with God, myself and others. It is becoming clear to me the struggles I face and the why I have been so stuck. I know that I struggle real hard to bounce back once I feel like I have failed. But being honest with myself of how I really feel about things is allowing me to be naked again before God and trusting my community fully.
