I’ve always like Jafar because my favorite movie is Aladdin, but since my daughter really loves Sleeping Beauty, I’ve become more partial to Maleficent!
Little things that we miss about Walt Disney World: Retired attractions, shows, etc.
Growing up in the Orlando area, my family would visit Disney World almost weekly. Here are some things I miss. Discovery Island. A small oasis that had birds, turtles, and a few other critters. There was a beautiful nature trail that took you through the entire island. It was situated between Fort Wilderness and the Contemporary Resort on Bay Lake. The Fiesta Fun center. It was a massive arcade located on the first floor of the Contemporary. It had any arcade game you could imagine. Pinball, ski-ball, an interactive shooting gallery. Most of the newer games were first introduced here. There was also a very small movie theater that played vintage Disney movies. The Whatnot. This was a peculiar looking jungle gym located in the center of the Disney village, what is now Disney Springs. Different angles, shapes and configurations made this play area fun to see. Honorable mentions: House of Magic on Main Street. Novelty magic tricks, demonstrations and amazing decor. The Headless Horseman Halloween hay ride at Fort Wilderness. This. Was. Awesome. It's a shame it only ran a few years. Starting at Pioneer Hall, your hay ride winds around parts of the trading post area. There was a nature trail that went behind there. Your hayride host would tell the story of the Headless Horseman. The climax was the Horseman chasing you back to the main area. What are some things you remember and miss at Walt Disney World?

I miss seeing a lot of the now-rare characters out and about. I wish there was room for all Disney characters to be represented in some way! Also, that headless horseman hat ride sounds awesome!
And we are off!
Our family is headed out on our summer family vacation! We are driving 🤪🚙 First stop: Dollywood Heartsong Lodge + Dollywood Park then we are off to Disney for a triple split stay at Beach Club, Animal Kingdom Lodge and then finally Grand Floridian! What is going on in your world this week? 👀 For fun tax - here is my outfit that I made!
And we are off!

My name is Jonathan, but I go by Jon. My favorite park is probably a tie between Magic Kingdom and EPCOT, although I expect when Villains Land opens, MK will likely take the lead again! My favorite snack is the dole whip float and instead of favorite attraction, I’m going to say favorite thing to do, and that’s meeting/getting a photo with as many characters as I can! I’m just here because I love Disney and am excited to talk about all fun Disney things with everyone. P.S. I’ll be running my first marathon in Walt Disney World this coming January!

@Elke Elizabeth definitely Oswald! It was my first time seeing him last year and he’s by far my favorite character. We got to sing “Happy Birthday” to him and he held my daughter’s hand and walked with her to his meet and greet spot, it was so awesome! I’ve been lucky to have a lot of great character interactions, but that was definitely the best! 🐰
