Hello! I'm Blake. I've always loved music and when I was in middle school I started making my own music as a hobby using loops in Garageband. Since then my methods have grown in complexity... but not so much quality, to my frustration. So I've finally decided it's time to stop waiting for some miracle to fix it for me and pulled the trigger on a proper structured education to fill in those gaps in my knowledge!

Has anyone else here made mashups?
I used to mashup songs for fun/humor on SoundCloud. I even got a pretty sizeable following for that corner of the website. If anyone else here does that or enjoyed the soundclown community, I would love to say hi!

What DAW Do Y'all Use?
I am curious to find out what DAWs are being used. More importantly, does the DAW matter more than the skill put into using it? I personally use Cakewalk.

@Brian Steel Wow, I didn't think I would find another Mixcraft user in here! Do you have a lot of plugins/virtual instruments, or do you find the included ones sufficient?
