Black walnut slab
Hey guys check it out.. I’m trying to up my game and get into doing some higher end projects. I really need to make something that is profitable. I’m always building coffee tables and other generic stuff that doesn’t sell. So, I bought this piece of black walnut… idk how I feel about it, but it’s mine now.. I was thinking maybe you guys would have some suggestions for me..🤷‍♂️ i think I over paid a little for it so I’d like to know what y'all think it’s worth as well. I’ll tell you what I paid for it after a few people tell me what it’s actually worth.👍

That is super cool!! I love it guys!! I couldn’t be happier to be a member of the community!
What!! Yeah!!
Check it out guys, I won the prize for building my tower!! What did I chose with the $100 gift card? That sharpening jig was calling my name. Now don’t get me wrong, I wanted that sweet dove tail jig. But, I just bought one🤦‍♂️😂🤣. Not to mention every one of my planer blades and chisels look like they belonged to my paw paw! Not for long they won’t… Thanks guys, I appreciate the recognition on that project. A tremendous amount of effort actually went into building that thing. Everything harvesting the trees, cutting them into boards, assembling and erecting the tower. All performed with the help of my two sons. The internet service that we get from it isn’t very good but at least they have something to game on…

Ok check it out! My biggest carpentry project is my internet tower. I built this with the help of my teenage son and my brother helped with crunching the numbers. It’s not the prettiest thing I’ve built. But it’s definitely the biggest one! I built this mostly out of lumber I cut on my harbor freight saw mill. I did use a few construction grade pine boards that were laying around, but most of it is oak. I built it laying on its side and used my Chevy C5500 flatbed to lift it. I had to run the cable under the tower to a snatch block connected to the base of a tree, then back to a bridal connected to the central portion of the tower. I used a 16-20 ft log stuck in a divot in the ground as the fulcrum. It stayed with the tower as it was lifted and is still there today. I some day hope to do something really cool with it. After I get fiber internet and the tower is no longer needed. I’ll turn it into a mock up of Nikolai Teslas wardenclyff tower experiment.. according to him there is a high likelihood of a fireball erupting and destroying the entire tower, so I’ll record it in case something cool happens.. But yea “I made this for you!” 😂
