5 contributions to Fractional Executive Community
Hello Fractional Community
I'm a manufactruring Procurement executive. I've been doing this kind of work for 25 years — at GE Transportation, Visteon, Blue Bird, and others. I've managed up to $63M in annual supplier spend, reshored 121 products from China without losing a single day of production, and kept 98.7% inventory availability during COVID while competitors went on allocation.

Steve, Thanks for connecting. I have done both raw material and capital equipment purchasing. There are a lot of overlaps between the two, but capital equipment has some very specific things to look out for. I've purchased injection molding presses as well as machining centers for production in the past. Let me know if there's a possibility for me to be involved. John

Supply Chain Health Assessment
Good morning all. I started a series on LinkedIn on assessing your supply chain. It's 6 questions to rate the maturity of the chain and identifying where you need to shore up weaknesses. https://www.linkedin.com/posts/johnckill_supplychain-manufacturing-procurement-ugcPost-7468406724622790656-CdKd/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=member_desktop&rcm=ACoAAAHS3jABz91qidi6FNBZR0mBaw8HIRUTZRQ
Let's get to know each other — starting with your profile
Note: This post is about your FEC Profile only — not LinkedIn, not any other platform. The Fractional Executive Community is built on collaboration, real relationships, real referrals, real work together. That only happens when we actually know who's in the room. Most of you already have great profiles — thank you! This is for the small number (around 5%) who haven't quite gotten there yet. It takes 5 minutes. Your FEC profile needs three things: ✅ Your full name — first and last ✅ A real headshot — a photo of your face, not a logo or avatar ✅ A description that tells us who you are — what you do, who you work with, and where you are in your journey On that description: This isn't a tagline or a pitch. It's an introduction. Write it the way you'd introduce yourself to a room full of smart, senior people — because that's exactly what this is. Wherever you are, just say so: ✅ "Fractional CFO who helps SaaS companies scale from $1M to $10M. I've worked with 30+ founders on cash flow, fundraising, and financial operations." ✅ "Still in corporate as a CFO, exploring what fractional might look like for me in the next chapter." ✅ "Recently retired, curious about fractional work and love staying connected to this world." There is no wrong place to be. Just be real and clear. To update your profile: 1. Click your name or profile photo in Skool 2. Edit your profile 3. Add your headshot, full name, and description 4. Save it - Please do not post your profile description, photo, or LinkedIn information in the comments below. - Only comment below if you need help figuring out what to write in your actual Skool profile. In mid-June, I’ll do another profile review. Anyone with an incomplete profile will receive a personal message before any action is taken. Profiles that are blank, vague, unprofessional, or mostly promotional may be removed to protect the quality and trust of this community. Thank you for helping us keep the Fractional Executive Community relationship-based, referral-friendly, and professional.
