I trained 2 to 3 times a week right now in January and I intend to update that to 4 to 5 times a week in February. I feel like I’ve gotten injured many times throughout my Triathlon career and and believe that most of those injuries have been through improper form, over, extending myself, or lack of stretching. So I’m building slow into the season, using lighter weights and better form through CrossFit. All exercises are modified for my level so I don’t overextend myself. I find that I generally move away from strength training sometime around March and I’m typically rolling right into Triathlon specific training for swim bike and run at that time.
