Burning Feet!
I have a burning sensation in the soles of my feet, pressure pad area over the cleats when I do approx. 60mes plus. I use G8 insoles and have done for a few years now. Does anyone think replacing them with new would help or is there something else I could try?

@Jason Hurst Thanks Jason, it all sounds really confusing especially if people are ordering on line like I did without the help of Jason. I have started spreading this around the local clubs as more and more people are wearing Lake shoes especially due to the wide fitting option.

Oh and I received my material from FORM today so thanks again for that.
Webinar Update!
Unfortunately, today's webinar is going to have to be postponed. It turns out my kids were kind enough to share their latest bug with me 😅 Rather than spend an hour trying not to cough my way through a bike fit webinar, I'm going to give myself a few extra days to recover. 🤒 📅 The webinar has been moved to Friday 24th at 4pm BST. We'll still be covering: 🚴 What Different Foot Problems Usually Mean? (premium webinar) We'll look at: - hot foot - toe numbness - arch pain - outside foot discomfort - and what these different symptoms can often tell you about how you're interacting with the bike. Thanks for your understanding! I'll be back next week with a voice that's a little less croaky and a lot more webinar-friendly 😂 See you on the 24th! 👊

Dan I don’t know if you can answer this but I am looking for some material to lift my heels on my new G8 inserts. I have attached pictures of the older ones which I’m replacing. This was all initially down to Hot Foot!
🚨 Bike Fit Masterclass - Tomorrow at 4pm BST 🚨
Tomorrow's webinar is: Why Your Feet Go Numb On The Bike If you've ever experienced: - numb toes - hot feet - burning sensations - tingling - or found yourself loosening your shoes halfway through a ride... ...this one's for you. We'll be looking at: - why it isn't always your shoes - why insoles don't always solve the problem - how pressure, stability and fatigue influence what you feel through your feet - and some simple things you can start observing on your next ride. As always, the aim isn't to give generic fixes, but to help you understand what your symptoms might actually be telling you. 🗓 Friday 3rd July 🕓 4pm BST You can join via the Calendar tab at the top of the community. See you there 👊

Won’t be able to attend but have had some great advice from Jason Hurst on possible reasons for my issue. I believe I have proven that it’s the shoes that are causing the issue. I have 3 pairs of Lake 238 wide fitting shoes the first of which were supplied with G8 insoles during a professional fit. These white/black have been great for a number of years. I then purchased a black pair for winter riding still with no issues. I then purchase white/white but didn’t know Lake had changed the material until Jason pointed it out. The first 2 pairs are leather and the white/white are not so it looks like there is no give in them especially on longer rides in the summer when the weather heats up. Hope this helps with the discussion as there will be people out there who are buying like for like and who don’t pick up on this. Again big shout out to Jason for his advice and support.
Pressure Map
Could or would you do a bike fit without a saddle pressure map?

Thank you for your feedback Jason. I tend to agree with all your feedback and in particular your last point on how it feels when you sit on it and how it actually replicates your position when riding.

Does anyone think if the seat is on for mapping you try to sit differently than you do on a bike? Just thinking you adjust to try to make it seem right?
Bike Fit Setups
There are a number of bike fit ‘tools/systems’ used by bike fitters, what is the best?

@Victor Perez Hi Victor, firstly thank you for your feedback it is appreciated. The reason I asked the question was after having a bike fit on the Retul system which went very well for me around three years ago I was getting another bike fit for a Pinarello on the ‘GURU’ jig which is completely different. The interesting thing is my fit came out with all sizes identical. I had to be sure before purchasing an expensive bike and with Pinerello being slightly different in offerings to other manufacturers the fit was essential.

Thanks Simon, think your point regarding bike fitting without the tech is correct.
