Final whole food for the week
Alright, I had to get something that wasn't yellow! So, I got a red cactus pear. I will admit I tried it, but didn't really eat it. It didn't have a ton of taste, but it did have a lot of seeds. The seeds were pretty hard and not easy to chew and were so prevalent it wasn't very edible. I think you can throw them in a smoothy or something... Or maybe try to strain it? I got two, so the family and I will give it another go tonight. Also, I learned to make sure you look stuff up before you try to eat it. I almost bought a couple fruits that definitely have to be cooked before you eat them. I went heavy fruit route for this one, so I'll have to come up with some items to cook in the future.
Final whole food for the week
Whole Food #3.5 (#2 for Rowan)
I feel like I have been on a trend... I got a yellow Kiwi. It was pretty good and I felt like it was a little less acidic than a normal green kiwi. However, now that I have had 4 new whole foods... they have all been yellow!! So, I need to find a different color lol.

Whole Food 2.5...
I technically tried the canary melon, but I didn't buy it. Rowan and I tried a yellow dragon fruit also called a kiwano melon. It was pretty good. The seeds had a nice pop of flavor.

I tried a “Canary Melon” today. I’ve never heard of this before, and I generally do not like melons (except watermelon). This thing was good though! Very sweet, not musky. Interestingly, the rest of my family that LOVES melons did not really care for this one…

I got to sneak a try of the canary melon as well. I liked it. Tasty combo of a cantaloupe and a watermelon.
Whole Food - #1
Alright men... I have not been much of a veggie guy, but have slowly grown over the years. My first whole food came with dinner (something I would normally not have eaten) and it is... sauerkraut! I know not that big of a deal, but I checked the label (see pictures). I will admit it was mixed in with some chicken sausage and brussel sprouts, but it was better than I expected. Just cabbage, water, salt... (bonus points for reading the label??)
