Stickers on guitars
Ok, so this is probably a topic with serious opions, but…how do you all feel about putting stickers on your guitars. I’ve never really been for it, but my kid made some art and the school sent stickers of it and I was so proud and put one on one of my guitars

I have a cheap, sawtooth telecaster knockoff. I put a few stickers on it. I’ve owned guitars for 58 years. First time I wanted to.

@Jesse Scanlan it looks awesome either way.
Favorite guitar
What’s one guitar that you’ll never get rid of. For me it’s all of them lol I’m not the buy sell trade type I buy for specific reasons and they all mean something different to me but the tele is by far my favorite one I’ve ever bought.

I’ve owned no name guitars, fenders, epiphones, Ibanez, Taylor, Washburn, and now I have one of if not the first left handed Emerald Artisan A20 that was produced. That one I will die with. Still love to have a Les paul someday.
Strings
What are your favorite strings and gauge and why?

I recently switched two of mine to Ernie ball super slinky’s. One had slinky’s and broke a string and went lighter. Maybe too light. The other had heavy gauge Darrio’s on it. It needed lighter strings.
How you learn?
Im wondering how did everybody learn to play? Did you have an actual teacher? Teach yourself? Do you learn by watching? Do you learn by tab? Me personally, my Stepdad taught me the major chords, and I watched him play some songs then I kinda just used tab and now use youtube lessons. Ive been playing 20 years or so, and can learn pretty much anything. But I know S**t about theory, scales modes ect. Haha

Got my first guitar for Christmas when I was 10. Stayed up all night trying to learn a song on the back of a comic book. Don’t remember the song. First song I learned was house of the rising sun. My older cousin taught me to play it.
A personal win
I recently bought a $60 guitar from Temu (shown) as a work/car guitar that I won't feel bad about anything happening to it since I only paid $60. As can be expected out of the box it was in pretty rough shape. Spent a couple of hours working on setting it up, leveling frets, etc. Brought it to work and a coworker said it felt better than his Squier strat that has had a professional setup. So that was a huge boost to my confidence in setting up my guitars and I wanted to share.

I bought a cheap 50.00 tele knock off. I haven’t got it set up perfect yet. It’s in better shape than when I bought it. lol. New strings and string levels more uniform than when I got it. I still play my acoustic most of the time though.
