Casual thrifting day
I popped into local thrift shop today and picked up 3 items that will be fine for my local eat and drink establishment in our naturally beautiful but sartorially squalid corner of the world 😄. Nothing spectacular by RMRS standards I’m aware, but I did follow the style pyramid and fit is very good, fabric is decent, and fashion more than adequate for above mentioned locale. Blue casual cotton dress shirt, beige cotton chinos, and burgundy leather boots. Sum total equivalent of less than $12 US - can’t go too far wrong for that! ☺️

Fit
How does this Polo from Hockerty look? I’m wondering if the sleeves are a bit too tight?

You look quite fit my friend 👍 - therefore, just check the sleeves aren’t so tight that they ride up your muscles and do a ‘Snow White’.
Let's start hair...
I'll be turning 42 soon, and needing to maintain a professional appearance. I have curly hair (like coily curly), and in college, I started learning some care and styling tricks to allow some length for curls without simply a frizzy fro. I could use some help in two areas: (1) What are some professional hairstyles that are a little bit longer, to leverage the curls, but are also fitting for my age? (2) What are some care and styling tips for someone with really curly hair?

I am embracing a long curly look just recently (literally this past week!) - condition, curl-cream, maybe a glossing spray. Lots of great advice on YouTube I’ve been checking out. 👍

The Right Answer
The question. From the boss. "Can you up your game?" One answer might be the right answer, but let's decide why, maybe not knowing if the boss is looking for some peppy groveling or some oblique angle of attack. Yes, this is not exactly a friendly encounter. Almost certainly a trap of some sort awaits. Or at least an ego that needs fed. Maybe there is an altogether better answer. Bonus - I was actually in this scenario once, so I can tell you how it went after the poll matures. Maybe you were, too.

“No, I believe that I perform my current role at a high and consistent level. If there is opportunity for me to advance, I’d much prefer to learn the required skills so I can hit the ground running than to use the same time working on possible small gains in my current role”
