What does “Nursepreneur” really mean?
At first, it was just a name. Something to get things off the ground. Micah worried it was too vague and confusing when we first met. Nurse + Entrepreneur + Lab? I asked her yesterday what the name meant again—and if she planned to change it... I joined 3 months ago, and with time, I’ve seen the mission take shape —with every nurse we’ve helped, it’s gotten clearer. Her answer threw me off: “It’s not about learning to coach. It’s about becoming the kind of person who leads, who builds, who decides.” And honestly? That hit. Because entrepreneurship is not a checklist. It's not one-size-fits-all. It’s messy. It’s creative. It’s personal. It requires a whole new mindset. Which brings me back to the lab. A lab—literally—is where discovery happens. It’s where scientists run tests. Try different formulas. Collect data. Make mistakes. Pivot. Repeat. In the lab, nurses don’t just follow protocols—they innovate. They test, they tweak, and sometimes… they discover the cure. That’s what Nursepreneur Lab is. It’s not a linear course or a polished path. It’s a place to experiment. To try things that might not work—yet. To get messy. To learn how to think like a creator, not just a caregiver. To take the skill set you already have—and upgrade the mindset you were never taught. Because nurses already know how to lead under pressure. We already know how to adapt, assess, and show up for others. Now it’s time to show up for ourselves. We’re not just building businesses. We’re building freedom. We’re building new ways to serve—without burnout. We’re building the future of nursing... and it doesn’t live inside a hospital. This is about nurses healing the world—by stepping outside the system and building their own. And honestly? That feels like the real cure.

@Micah Walker stepping into entrepreneurship has shown me that starting something really isn’t so difficult after all. I have learned so much, gained confidence as well, and gotten so much fulfillment out of actually helping people with what I am passionate about. Seeing where I am now makes me realize I was meant to do this. I’m glad I’m not living in the regret of not trying and staying in the same old cycle of hourly work for the man. Yeah, it’s scary and stressful as you learn, but it is totally worth it.
New to the world of Nurse Coaching
Hi! I'm new to this group. I recently joined because I'm looking for advice from anyone who is already working as a nurse coach or has their nc-bc / hn-bc or both! Which program did you use to train before taking boards, or did you not use a program at all? I'm comparing Nurse Coach Collective, Nurse Life Coach Academy, and National Institute of whole health so far. Also, did you feel having more education helped you or was it not necessary? I'm about to finish up my BSN and really want to get into nurse coaching but I'm scared to take the leap haha. Before i found out about coaching i was dead set on getting my MSN in care coordination. Now I'm torn if that's the right decision. (It is relatively cheap and will only take 6-9 months btw). So I guess my question are: 1. If you went to a coaching program, which one did you choose? 2. If you have your msn has it helped you to have it? 3. If you have your bsn do you feel like getting your msn would make a difference? 4. If you have the certs do you feel like they have helped you? Thanks everyone sorry for the long post! ❤️ Sarah

Yo Sarah, awesome questions! I am a health coach that has my bachelors of science and biology and ambassadors of science and nursing, and I have no certifications around coaching. I don’t think they are useless, but they are not essential, at least in my experience. What is your “I Help” statement and what specific niche are you looking to serve?
Patient Advocate To the Bone
If there is anything I will do, no matter what, it will always be to fight for the underdog. For those that are in the dark or feel helpless and hopeless. My super power is supporting, encouraging, empowering and guiding people to take extreme leadership over their lives. With the help of ChatGPT (Not @Micah Walker ’s prompts) I have this so far. I feel really good about it because I know the biggest delay for me was not having a strong enough why and because I was hesitating in “ruffling” feathers. Going against the status quo is who I am and not being true to me isn’t in alignment with my soul. So here it is…… “The Get REAL Challenge “Reclaim Your Health. Rewrite the System.” The Get REAL Challenge is a 3-day movement for individuals who are done waiting on a broken healthcare system to save them — and are ready to take radical ownership of their well-being. This isn’t just a health challenge. It’s a wake-up call. Because the truth is: The current system profits from our sickness, not our healing. And the only way to dismantle it… is to make it irrelevant. REAL Now Stands For: - R – Reclaim your power over your body, choices, and outcomes - E – Educate yourself beyond the sick-care model - A – Align your daily actions with real, lasting wellness - L – Lead by example and become your own health advocate This Challenge is for You If… - You’re tired of being prescribed pills instead of being heard - You’ve been dismissed, misdiagnosed, or told to “just lose weight” without real support - You’re ready to stop outsourcing your health and start creating a life rooted in energy, clarity, and vitality - You want to prevent illness, not just react to it - You believe true wellness is a right—not a privilege What You’ll Walk Away With: - The ability to identify the ways the system keeps you stuck—and how to break free - A clearer understanding of holistic self-care, lifestyle medicine, and root-cause healing - A personalized plan to take daily, aligned action toward your physical, mental, and emotional well-being - Confidence to be your own wellness leader—and no longer wait for permission to thrive”

@Elina Solaita aka LE I'm happy to discuss any of this with you moving forward if you decide to focus on this space, I've learned a lot about this niche and have some pointers, but still learning tons with every client and prospect interaction. First big ooops for me was not specifying type 2. Although its like 90-95% of all DM cases, the type 1's will get super offended (and people can be confused) if you don't talk about type 2 specifically every time.

Just wrapped our accelerator call yesterday and I'm still SHOOK. 🤯 One student used Micah's ChatGPT prompts and achieved INSTANT offer clarity. Took some screenshots… (hope y'all don't mind me exposing the sauce) When someone yells "Hey everyone!" in NYC, you ignore it. But when they call YOUR NAME, you stop instantly. That's what getting specific with your niche does! The ChatGPT hacks we learned in Phase 2 are just too good not to share: - Get ultra-specific with your niche. - Create a powerful offer statement. - Build a complete business funnel in minutes. - Generate content that cuts through noise. Check out this WORKSHOP to see how it works. Seriously game-changing stuff! P.S. If you watch the workshop, try counting how many browser tabs Micah has open... I always laugh because look at mine LOL Also, her ChatGPT has the same humor as her... it's like watching her talk to herself but somehow more productive? 😂
