Reporting Retention using Redtail Data
Hey Everyone! My firm is looking for an accurate report of retention based on our client data in Redtail. Does anyone know of either a good way to calculate this out, or a good integration solution? We have been calculating it out based on contact status of active vs inactive, but there is a huge probability of human error, given that not everyone remembers to mark a client as inactive. Additionally, sometimes clients transfer out and we don't realize it, so then don't know to mark the client as inactive. Hopefully that makes sense.. But the point is, we don't have a lot of confidence in that method of reporting. Any tips or suggestions are appreciated! Thank you so much!

Just a quick thought with some Lean Six Sigma in mind--it would be great to have more Merge Fields available, particularly to include the specific roles assigned to a client. My team has scads of mail merges for the same letter template so that each Account Manager/CSR does not have to continually type in their own name. A merge field for <<CSRName>> or something similar would help streamline our mail merges and greatly reduce the maintenance burden. Another idea could have a specific profile for those corresponding roles. Our team currently adds advisors in as contacts and tracks their rep codes in the contact card. Thinking along the lines of the Recruiting tab... Beyond rep code, it could also include business address, phone number, and email. A hub to store all our advisor information. Then, these fields could translate into MailMerges and further simplify that tool, and I imagine could work for other integrations, as well. Thank you!
Issues with permissions with email archiving w/in Redtail
Has anyone had issues with Redtail archiving of emails being visible to all the users of Redtail, when we thought the permissions were set up to only allow selected users of RT to be able to see certain email addresses?

My office had the opposite issue, where users could not see all the email history. To change permissions, you will need to contact RT and specify which users are classified as Email Admin (full access) and which users are not (no access). Hope this helps!
