New verse for “This is My Father’s World”
I was going to lead “this is my father’s world” this Sunday and was thinking about adding this verse for some explicit gospel. If you have any feedback or suggestions or concerns, please let me know! Thank you! This is my father’s world To earth he sent His son To bear my sin, to show his love I join creation’s song This is my Father’s world For birds he cares and feeds Oh how much more he loves his own My shepherd will supply every need

@Keiko Ying thank you! That is a good suggestion. I like what you did there. I think the connecting lines make a lot more sense.

@Reid Parrott thanks, Reid! That helps me!
Checking In
Hey everyone! Sorry I’ve been so MIA here in the WWR of late. It’s been a season of transition as I am now bi-vocational serving as a pastor unpaid and starting a new job in real estate. The last month has been taking 90 hours of classes and passing my real estate licensing exam so haven’t had a lot of time to write or listen or comment here. How’s everyone doing?

Congrats on the real estate license and this new season! The May challenge with the specific parameters was helpful to me. The perimeters definitely gave me something to shoot for in that regard.
More to You, O Lord
Oh to live more to you, O Lord For you have redeemed my soul Oh to live more to you, O Lord I was saved to do your will Chorus Everyday I live by mercy Everyday I live by grace Working out what you’ve done for me At the cross, my debt erased

I've been listening to David Brainerd's journal entries and he would often use the phrase or have the theme of living more faithfully to the Lord. This is the start of a very simple song, prayer on that theme.

@Reid Parrott Thanks, Reid. That’s helpful. I appreciate you taking the time to look at it!
Text for Co-Writing
I wrote this text a little while back, but have never been totally happy with any of the tunes I’ve tried. If anyone has any ideas, I’d love to hear someone else’s take on it! I Am His 1). My heart cannot contain the whole Of all the joy that fills my soul; For Christ has looked upon my sin, And still He bids me come to Him. He sees my every fault and shame, And yet He calls to me by name; And so I leave all else behind; For I am His and He is mine. 2). For He is mine, and I am His In me He dies; in Him I live In Him I move, in Him I breathe In Him my joy is made complete. In Him my sins are washed away, In Him I’m cleansed of guilt and shame. In Him I know the riches of The Father’s mercy and His love. 3). How can it be that Christ should die For such a lowly wretch as I? Why should he bleed for my offense? Why should I gain His righteousness? What boundless love, what endless grace That Christ would suffer in my place For He has died that I might live; He bore my sin to make me His. 4). My heart cannot contain the whole Of all the joy that fills my soul For Christ has conquered all my sin And rose to walk in life again. Now as He lives, so too shall I, For in His triumph death has died; And so I leave all else behind For I am His and He is mine.
