Today I wore my red dial Addiesdive watch to my local college’s student art show. My “Red Geisha” oil painting was selected for judging and exhibition and my watch matched it perfectly. Alas, my painting did not win any awards, but it was a privilege to have had it be 1 of 53 artworks selected out of 217 submissions. Plus, this was my first time entering an art show so I’m pretty proud and humbled that my painting was displayed alongside other, very talented artists’ works.

I am really looking at getting maybe a dive watch to extend my collection and was interested in getting thoughts on mid level (high 00s to lower 1ks) as options. I am looking at the Mido Ocean Star Captain but I am open to other options. Thoughts on the Mido brand or other options. I am looking at Squale as well. Any guidance would be appreciated.

Overall, not too exciting from the main brands. Although, those Vacheron and Nomos are gorgeous!! What’s your favorite??

Lately I’ve been feeling the itch to buy another watch but I’m trying to be smart about it. I don’t want to make a purchase just because I “like it” in the moment. I’ve said before that I want to build my collection with intention. I want each piece to actually mean something—something tied to a moment, a milestone, or a story. My goal is that when someone asks me about a watch I’m wearing, I can share why it matters to me… not just “I thought it looked cool.” So for now, I'll be patient.....I'll try and be patient🤣
