POA, health directive at 18 yo
Reaching out for help/suggestions on how to go about getting power of attorney and health directive in place so when my son turns 18, I'll still be able to help him with his healthcare, meds, etc.

🔥7-Day Confidence Killer Elimination Challenge
Watching the 3 Confidence Killers training is step one (you can find it under live trainings and replays and the training itself is only about 20 min). Now let’s turn it into action. For the next 7 days, come back to this thread and share your progress. Each day, look for these 4 things: ✅ One specific capability you caught (What did your teen or young adult do well that you may have normally overlooked?) ✅ One moment you paused before rescuing (Where did you catch yourself before jumping in, fixing, reminding, or taking over?) ✅ One coaching question you asked (Instead of giving the answer, what question did you ask that helped them think for themselves?) ✅ One small win to add to the Evidence Engine (What happened today that provides evidence that they are capable, growing, learning, or becoming more independent?) And one more thing: 🤝 Encourage another parent. After you post, reply to at least one other parent’s comment with encouragement, recognition, or something you noticed in their win. We’re not just building confidence in our kids. We’re building a community that helps each other keep going. 👇 Day 1 starts now. Share your first win, then encourage someone else below.

Spouse differences
Anyone in here have a spouse that parents the opposite and doesn’t believe in this “mumbo jumbo?” My husband is fed up with my son and has no patience for what I’m doing. Also, he’s his stepdad.

I understand and feel for you. My husband also has ADHD and was recently diagnosed with our oldest adult son. I’m struggling trying to support both of them! I’ve been focusing on educating myself to better understand things from their perspective which helps. I’m trying to do the best I can with it on my own since I know I can count on myself. There’s plenty of support here!
🚨 FREE MASTERCLASS RE: GAINING EMPLOYMENT
Your Young Adult Can Do the Job. It’s Getting Hired That Has Them Stuck. On Wednesday, September 23, I’m hosting a free live masterclass for parents of neurodivergent young adults who are struggling to gain traction in the job search. We’ll cover: • Why laziness or lack of motivation many not be the real cause • The 4 places neurodivergent job seekers get stuck • How to support without pressure, nagging, or taking over • How to make the job-search process easier to actually execute If your young adult is capable but stuck when it comes to employment, I’d love to have you join us. IMPORTANT: This is a separate live masterclass, so you'll need to register in advance to attend. The replay will NOT be posted inside this community. 👉 Save your free seat here: https://idealmindslaunch.com/awareness PS - If your young adult is capable but stuck when it comes to employment, I’d love to have you join us.
