I am back at the dentist on Tuesday but I will watch the replay
Have you experienced this yet with your inventories?
You're working through your inventories, doing your lists. Something comes up that you want to include, but... you don't. Why? The resistance gets real. Let's talk about it.

Working in youth leadership, I think I realize that as much as children can drain and exhaust me, their energy and enthusiasm can also serve to energize me. I keep thinking when I leave here I’m done working with kids but then the moment I’m done I’ll forget how tiring it is and I will miss it! So it’s like a push and pull. It gives me purpose & meaning, but how much energy do I really want to dedicate to it in future. Definitely less, but I’m thinking I can still mentor. It would give me a better combination of the freedom and flexibility I’m looking for while still having purpose and meaning.

@Colleen Kochannek Can you start with something not so scary? What if you started with an international retreat that stretched your comfort zone but for a shorter period?
The Week Ahead + A Message
Hi friends, Welcome to the last week of January 2026. I hope everyone safely made it through our crazy winter storms here in the U.S. Honestly, in St. Louis, it wasn't as bad as predicted, although it's colder than the dickens out there and we got a lot of snow. Here's a round of what we've been doing last week and the week ahead: 1. A special video message from Colleen - part 'the week ahead', part 'let's acknowledge the sh&tshow the U.S. is currently in'; and, part 'here's what we can do to stay sane and on track'. 2. Continuted work on our Meet Yourself on Paper Micro-Experiment [ME] 3. This week's Micro-Experiment Prompt 4. NEW! AI for Reinvention Module in the CLASSROOM. There's a replay of a workshop I hosted last July - covering the basics of AI, ChatGPT and prompting AI. Lots more to come. 5. Watch REPLAY of Annie McCormick (inside The Possibilities Lab) - the international house and pet sitter, published author and freelance non-profit consultant who has been living nomadically for 3+ years. We don't have Power Season calls this week... ...BUT I am curious if you'd be interested in more virtual calls. Our current twice monthly Power Season calls are part topic/agenda-based and part open Q&A. POLL: Would you want to having more informal ' virtual coffee chats'? I'm open to organizing more calls. These would be informal (no specific topic), but set at regular times. See the poll below and feel free to add any comments or suggestions. Cheers, Colleen

I am probably the only one sitting in a small town in the interior of a foreign country so any chance I get to talk to someone in English my own age makes me happy! So yes to coffee chats! ❤️ I joined this group because I wanted to better understand how other Senior women who are single and done working are mapping out how to have a more enriching third chapter. I’m sure each of us has our own style but for me personally I am looking for open discussions, sharing, getting to know each other, and creating a sense of community/we’re all in this together versus the formality of Q&As that are being recorded for other uses making it less comfortable to interrupt and join in for a more lively back & forth discussion. But I also understand you then risk more talking and less learning. I’d love to better understand what each member hopes to get out of the group. I would assume we want a combination of both like you are suggesting.
Lustre - women & life after retirement FB page
Saw this first clip today and clicked on the link to see what their page Lustre was about. It’s a good idea but they haven’t developed it enough. The Third Chapter Collective is definitely more proactive in terms of mapping it out, but if anyone is interested in following these two retired ladies here’s the links. https://www.facebook.com/share/v/17SyiCxKGV/?mibextid=wwXIfr https://www.facebook.com/share/1GjTns4Zha/?mibextid=wwXIfr

Me too! Women are leading the way for sure! But I think Europe is ahead of us as the UK created a Ministry of Loneliness to combat the epidemic of loneliness in the UK, and I have seen some really innovative ideas coming out of Denmark, such as the human libraries where you can go and speak to an older person about their history instead of checking out a book, and instead of assisted living, they will give a discounted rent to a younger person who moves in to infuse younger energy. They also created a checkout line called a slow line for older people and others who have time and want to chat. All such beautiful ideas! ❤️
Trixie is on the mend
Hi, Thanks for checking on Trixie and our emergency vet visit. She's on the mend. We don't know if it was a seizure or something else. She does have early stage liver cancer and the bloodwork showed no progression - so that was good news.
