I'm Joan from the beautiful east coast of Canada
Halifax, Nova Scotia. I run a one-person AI automation business for small local Canadian (mostly) businesses, built on Claude and n8n. The job that ate my week is content, specifically outreach that lands first clients. Follow-up is already automated. Getting people into the pipeline is where I’m stalled. This image is the famous Peggy's Cove lighthouse about 30 minute drive from Halifax.

@Stacy Luft have you written any yet? Do you have a website?
Brain OS, day 1
Business: I run Scotia AI, a one-person AI automation agency in Halifax, Nova Scotia for small, owner-operated businesses. The question I asked: Based on what I sell and what I’ve already decided, what’s the one thing I should change this quarter? Before: I don’t have anything about what you sell or what you’ve already decided. This is an Incognito conversation, so there’s no memory of past chats, and nothing in this thread yet. If you tell me a few things, I can give you a real answer rather than a generic one: 1. What you sell and to whom (product or service, rough price point, who buys it) 2. What you’ve already decided for this quarter (goals, bets you’re locked into, things you’ve ruled out) 3. What’s feeling off, if anything: slow growth, churn, margins, a stalled channel, a team bottleneck Even a rough paragraph is enough. I’ll pick the single highest-leverage change given those constraints and explain why it beats the alternatives. After: Define your free AI audit: who it’s for, what they get, and what’s not included. All three are “unknown” in 02-offers. It’s your main offer and your only lead-gen entry point, and you have no paying clients. Content aimed at landing first clients has nothing specific to point at until this is defined. Your 2026-10-01 decision is to target HVAC businesses. You aren’t sure about it, so write the audit for HVAC. That tests the niche, and a niche-specific audit is easier to sell than a generic one. Not in the Project: what an audit delivers (a report, a call, a roadmap) and how long it takes you. What changed, in my words: The blank chat knew nothing and asked me to explain my business. The Project named my free audit as the gap, tied it to my HVAC decision, and listed what it still didn’t know.

@Nick Love Missed calls. The audit takes how many calls an owner misses each week, business hours and after hours, and multiplies by their close rate and average job value. That gives the monthly revenue lost. After that I check admin hours, then Google reviews against local competitors and whether their website captures a lead.” The workflows aren’t HVAC-specific.
The Founding 200
You're in AI for Founders. Because of the high demand, we've increased the free founding spots to 200. Free for the first 200 founding members who post their Brain OS before-and-after in Show Your Brain OS within 7 days of joining. That post keeps your founding spot. At member 201, the door becomes $17/month. No calls. No pitches. No income claims. AI service sellers are welcome. Posting about your own services anywhere in here gets you removed immediately, no exceptions. Do one thing first: open Build Your Brain OS in the Classroom. Lesson 1 takes about 40 minutes. You build the files your AI reads first, load them into a Claude Project and a ChatGPT Project, ask the same hard question in a blank chat and in the Project, then post both answers in Show Your Brain OS. Reply with one line: what business you run, and whether you use ChatGPT, Claude, or both.

Well, after looking through here, I feel like such a beginner. I have built a website to help small businesses under 50 employees I'm targeting, and HVAC companies specifically, to help them connect their businesses with AI. So, I'm a business consultant that knows AI.

Quick vote, founders. I need your eyes on something.
We're thinking about a new logo for the community, and I'd rather ask the people who actually live here than argue with myself at 7 PM. A: The original AIf B: The new AI for Founders wordmark Vote in the poll, and drop a comment if you've got a strong opinion. Brutal honesty welcome. My ego has been through worse.
