New piece today, and this one might hit close to home.
“Why Did Eating Get So Confusing?” Here’s what none of us were told: when food started feeling confusing in midlife, it wasn’t because we lost our willpower. Our bodies changed the rules and forgot to send the memo. Pick the one that’s most YOU right now — just drop the number: 1. I’m doing what always worked, and it suddenly... doesn’t. 2. I’m “good” all day, then out of control by night. 3. I’m drowning in contradictory food rules and exhausted by all of it. 4. All three. Send help. 😅 Which number are you? 👇

It is Saturday and I am officially not thinking about hormones.
Tonight there is a dog who has decided the couch is hers. That is the whole plan. So tell me something that has nothing to do with any of this. What is making you happy this weekend? Could be tiny. Could be ridiculous. I want to hear it.

@Jennifer Seven my dog will have me up at 5 but will sneak back to bed - I don’t have to work 😁
The "I don't have the bandwidth for another program" lie... 🛑
I talk to women every day who tell me, "Jennifer, I know I'm exhausted, but I don't even have the energy to try and fix it right now. I can't take on another project. I want to lovingly challenge that today. Fixing your low energy in midlife doesn't take "extra energy." It takes stopping the hidden things that are actively robbing you of it. You don’t need a massive, exhausting lifestyle overhaul. You just need a floor to stand on. When you say you're "too tired" to look at your biology, it's like saying you're too low on gas to pull over at the service station. You're just choosing to push the car instead. Let's drop the pressure today. 👇 Tell me in the comments: What is one "energy drain" you are officially giving yourself permission to drop or ignore for the rest of this week? (The laundry, an optional meeting, cooking a complex dinner—let it go!) (P.S. Next Thursday, May 28th, we are breaking down how to build this exact biological floor during our live Master Class. It isn't a "to-do list"—it's a triage plan to give you time back. If you haven't grabbed your seat yet, the Zoom registration link is right here.)

Optional meeting / work
You are not lazy.
You may just be leaking energy from one unsupported floor. Sleep. Food and blood sugar. Strength. Stress and nervous system. Joy. This is what we’ll be talking about in next Thursday’s free Midlife Energy Reset master class. But for today, let’s keep it simple: Which floor needs the most support right now? Drop one word below: Sleep Food Strength Stress Joy No shame. Just information.

Why "Trying Harder" is the wrong strategy for May.
Happy Thursday, Everyone! I’ve noticed a trend in our conversations this week: the urge to "push through" the spring fatigue. In our world, we don't push—we pivot. If you missed yesterday’s Substack piece on Energy Leaks, the the bottom line is this: You cannot out-hustle a hormonal shift. Your Action Item for today: Comment below with ONE thing that drained your energy yesterday and ONE thing that filled it back up. Let’s identify the leaks together. 👇 Drop yours below! (P.S. Big things coming May 28th for this group specifically. Stay tuned for the Energy Reset Master Class details!)
