Good morning to all my Sewing friends! 🤩 Let’s see it… What’s everyone been up to this week? New projects, old projects, and everything in between! I think you all are going to LOVE my latest YouTube video because it’s a super easy, beginner friendly tutorial/sew-along on how to make one of those adorable, trendy ruffled wristlet keychains that are so popular right now. The wristlet that I create in the video is for my friend, our very own @Betty Johnson (one of our Sewing Academy Mods) who was just recently paired with her amazing service dog Nimble. Betty & @Joan DeFoe (Mimi) are creating a beautiful charity quilt to raise money for the service dog organization. Maybe they’ll show us some pics here and share some details as they work through the process. HINT HINT ladies!!! Bring us along for the journey. Anyhoo, My little sewing helper Finny makes an appearance in the tutorial video in a Canine show of support for his new friend Nimble. You can watch it here! Enjoy and let me know what you think. Ok now it’s your turn… SHARE AWAY…. we can’t wait to see 👀 AND if you make a wristlet, we will definitely want to see that too!!

the cost of fabric these days can get very expensive. So knowing how to cut and save on your fabric is very important. Also measuring, pressing, using rulers, how to use your rotary cutters is extremely important.
Quilt on long arm
Good morning sewing friends, my sister, one of the FabGrannies, made this awesome quilt and asked if I would quilt it for her. Well it’s finally on the long-arm and ready to be quilted. Now I have to decide on color of threads. I know I will be using the aqua/turquoise color, then trying to decide on the other color. This is going to be a two step process that I haven’t done yet! Yikes! Also, Christmas quilt is finally completed will post pictures a little later. Have fun today, show us your projects or what you’re working on. Happy sewing, sewing friends.

Choice has been made. From the top, 1 being the turquoise color, #1 and #4. The first one will be in the lavender and purple areas. Number 4 will be on the outside border and the stars, only. Difficult to do that change and combo but it’s getting done, little by little.
Welcome
Thank you for welcoming me in look forward to learning new things.
