10 Minute Daily Lower Back Relief ⭐

@Gabrielle Langdown - I was so grateful to get some relief. My lower back has been in a painful knot for eight months, and so it was really exciting to be able to start reducing the pain. 🥹 I think your approach, of increasing flexibility and strength, is the best long-term protection, for ensuring that this pain doesn’t come back! 😃💖

Hi @Gabrielle Langdown! I did this routine everyday for 3 days. When I was walking today, I noticed that my lower back wasn’t hurting at all! 😃. What a lovely, amazing relief to be pain free after such a long time. It feels great to be able to take care of myself this way. 🙏 When you say it’s ok to hold some of the positions for longer, how long would that be? Twice as long?
✨ Never Push Into Pinching Pain
Discomfort = okay Stretching = okay But sharp pinching in hips, lower back, or knees? That’s your cue to back off, modify, or slow down. Yogalates is about longevity — not forcing poses. What’s one movement you’ve realised feels better when you dial it back a little?

Anything that stretches my Hamstrings feels better when I slow down and don’t force it.
✨ You Don't Need Hours - Just Consistency
Most people think they need long workouts to see results, but research shows that even 40–60 minutes a week of focused yoga or Pilates (that’s just 10 minutes, 4–6 days a week) can dramatically improve: Core strength Flexibility Balance Back pain Mood + energy It’s not about the length of the session — it’s the regular signal you send your body. If you can give yourself 10 minutes a day, you can change everything! 💬 What’s one small daily habit you want to commit to this week?

That’s great that we can see results in so little time per day. I’m excited about that! Lately, I’ve been having lower back pain, so I’d like to start a small daily habit: a 10 minute Yogalates routine that would also help to get rid of my lower back pain. (Your “cat cow” move, from your earlier post, really helps my back feel better, already!) What do you recommend?

@Gabrielle Langdown - Thank you, your “lower back relief” flow sounds fantastic! It’s just what I need, especially some stretching 🙏 I can’t wait to try your mini classes starting Monday! 😃

Hi, I’m JJ. I’m excited to be here and learn about Yogalates! I think it sounds like a brilliant combination 😃 I’m at the beginner level in yoga. I know about Pilates, but I’ve never tried it. A friend of mine was a yoga instructor, and I have a really happy memory of doing Surya Namaste with her on a rooftop at sunrise ☀️ I used to go to Friday evening Restorative yoga. I really loved that at the end of the week. It was so relaxing: a great way to unwind! Thank you, Gaby, for starting this group and sharing your knowledge with us. I can’t wait to get started!
