A good white eraser. It takes out pencil marks cleanly and completely. I love it, but I can never find it where I think I left it 😉

@Bruce Early I hear you! I feel the same way about wasting good boards, and shoveling mountains of sawdust from too much planing.

Dear Santa, I’ve been somewhat good this year (most of the time) and I would like a beautiful European sliding table saw for the holidays. I want to rip and crosscut full sheets of plywood more easily! If you could add the SawStop mechanism, some flip-down cross-cut stops, and a big vacuum system to keep the table saw looking shiny and new, I’ll be very happy! Please deliver it in a big workshop, because I don’t have any space for it!
A Bit Under the Weather.

If this is you at 75%, smashing pocket hole joints, then it goes to show that Woodworking is great strength training as well as a great hobby!
To Pocket Hole... or Not?
I know there are lots of people out there who love pocket holes; but I'm not one of them. Oh, they're useful and I use them when I feel they are appropriate. But that's not the same as people who use them for everything. Like any other method of joinery, there are times when pocket holes are appropriate and other times when they aren't. In this video, I show some places where pocket holes really aren't the best choice available to us.

I’m not a fan of pocket holes, either. This is a great video, Rich! 👍
