You may not accept, collect or take possession of a completed AEP enrollment application before 10/15. Prior to 10/1, you may collect Scope of Appointments and schedule time to meet with clients to discuss 2027 plans on or after 10/1.

Tuesday Training that is found in the Classroom is the actual, real live training we conduct in F S Horton Insurance Professionals weekly. This training is posted to share with those outside the organization what we cover and learn each week. Last night's training was very specific to the checklist of things necessary to be prepared come October 1. The recording will not be shared as the purpose was to allow Insurance Professionals to discover, face up to where they are, and make a commitment to get it done. I'll share with you the checklist: 1. YOU MUST BE CERTIFIED. COMPLETE CERTIFICATION AND/OR RECERTIFICATION FOR THE CARRIERS YOU CHOOSE TO WORK WITH BY END OF THIS WEEK. 2. IF YOU CANNOT GET ALL CERTIFICATIONS/RECERTIFICATIONS COMPLETED START WITH THE ONES WHERE YOU HAVE EXISTING CUSTOMERS TO INSURE YOU CAN CONTINUE TO RECEIVE COMMISSIONS FOR THOSE SALES. 3. FURTHER, IF YOU ARE NEW AND HAVE NO CUSTOMERS, START WITH THE CARRIERS IN YOUR AREA WHO WILL HAVE THE MOST DISRUPTION. MAKE A PLAN TO WORK WITH MEDICARE BENEFICIARIES WHO WILL BE DISPLACED. 4. STILL UNDECIDED ABOUT WHICH CARRIERS TO CHOOSE TO WORK WITH INITIALLY, SET A 15 MINUTE APPOINTMENT WITH FAYE @ CALENDLY.COM/FHORTON. 5. ONCE YOU ARE CERTIFIED, REVIEW THE FIRST LOOK OF THE COMPANIES YOU ARE WORKING WITH. LEARN AS MUCH ABOUT WHAT'S AVAILABLE, WHAT'S COMMISSIONABLE AS YOU ARE PREPARING TO WORK THIS AEP. 6. ATTEND VIRTUAL OR LIVE ROLLOUTS FOR THE CARRIERS WITH WHICH YOU HAVE CERTIFIED. LEARN AS MUCH ABOUT THEIR PRODUCTS AND SALES PHILOSOPHY, CHANGES AND THE REASONS FOR THE CHANGES AS YOU CAN. THIS IS INFORMATION YOU WILL USE WHEN PRESENTING A PLAN TO A PROSPECTIVE MEMBER. 7. PLAN TO PARTICIPATE IN OR CREATE AS MANY ACTIVITIES/EVENTS AS POSSIBLE FOR EACH DAY YOU ARE WORKING DURING AEP.
