I recently bought materials for silicone gel plate printing. A few questions before I start. 1. Seems like acrylic paint is the most recommended product. Is it possible to use other inks/paints? 2. Manufacturer suggests cleaning the plate with soap and water, but the Youtube-o-verse suggests baby wipes. Any difference between the two methods? 3. If I understand the process, the paint is still wet when you place the paper, then you wait 30 seconds or so before pulling the paper off the plate. Is this basically the process? 4. Where do you find your inspiration? Or references? Do you use photo’s? From websites? Or do you shoot your own? Don’t use references at all? just look outside? Read books? Poetry?

Everyone paints their interpretation of THE theme. THE theme, we are going to choose together in the poll below. Then we are going to paint the winning theme. Then the paintings are displayed side by side. You can make as many paintings with this theme as you like. The fun part is seeing how differently people think about the exact same theme.
